  We employed Patty to help with the day-of coordination of our wedding - and it was one of the best decisions we made. I had some meetings with Patty early in the planning process, where she helped me think through the various aspects of our plan and gave me some good ideas for how the ceremony and reception should flow. Most importantly, however, was knowing that Patty would be there the morning of the wedding to make sure everything was in place, and to deal with any emergencies. This freed us up to spend time with family and enjoy the event. On the day, Patty dealt with a number of last minute issues, and managed the entire process. Throughout, she was sweet and professional, and her calm nature helped put me at ease. Finally, she put together a very thoughtful centrepiece for our children's table, providing them with activities and candy - which kept everyone happy. Without a doubt, I would recommend working with Patty to anyone (and also, include a coordinator, at least for the day, to make sure things go smoothly).

  Words cannot express how thankful I am for finding Patty at Fairy Godmothers Inc! Patty is absolutely wonderful and so incredibly talented. I didn't have much of a floral vision, so I needed all the help I could get. After meeting with Patty and discussing different ideas, she asked if we had a theme for our wedding. At the time, we also didn't have much of a theme, other than wanting to highlight the city of Chicago through the skyline. So, I showed Patty our wedding invitation and she immediately had an idea for our centerpieces. She showed me a large clear vase (and floating candle) with a cut-out of the skyline that wrapped around the vase and I immediately fell in love with the idea! She then added flowers and greenery around the vase to complete the look. It was the perfect look for our big day, and the centerpieces looked so amazing at our venue! On the day of the wedding, Patty arrived on time with the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. All the flowers looked so fresh and elegant. I could not have asked for a more perfect look! She also added a small charm to my bouquet in memory of my grandmother and it was beautiful. Patty even stopped by our church to ensure everything was perfect, even though this was not a part of our contract. She truly went above and beyond and I am forever thankful for talent and kindness. Patty also offers other services such as day of coordination, and other wedding details. Although I didn't need to use those services, I am sure she is as exceptional with those services as she is with the florals. Patty is a true gem. She is kind, knowledgeable, creative, and passionate about helping to make your wedding day truly the best day of your life. Thank you Patty!!!

  I LOVED the flowers at my wedding and it was all thanks to Patty! She perfectly captured my style and my color scheme through the flowers. I had a lot of requests with the flowers and she nailed everything. She was even able to incorporate lace from my mother's wedding dress into our bouquets and boutonnieres. She will truly listen to your ideas, view all your pictures, and then create something magical! She's very professional from start to finish. Flowers at a wedding can get pricey, but Patty really works with you on keeping to a budget (that may be substituting one type of flower for another less expensive type of flower or one type of centerpiece for another, etc.). I would definitely recommend Fairy Godmothers to anyone. Thank you Patty!

  I don't even know where to begin writing a review for Fairy Godmother's, because I get emotional just thinking about how perfect and extraordinary my wedding day was. Patty was a huge part of making it the day I always imagined. From the first consultation to the minute I walked down the aisle she was so professional, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, engaged and supportive of my vision and making it a reality. She provided suggestions and ideas to help me plan my wedding throughout the entire process, and I also hired her to do "day of" coordination since I did not use a professional wedding planner. She was there to make sure every single detail was exactly the way I planned, everyone was where they needed to be and when, then she led our wedding party down the aisle and vanished into the night. Like a Fairy Godmother! When I peeked into the reception room (after the room was flipped following the wedding ceremony) it was like walking into my own personal fairytale. It was SO BEAUTIFUL and so much better than I had even imagined. The flowers that Patty and I planned were beyond what I had expected, and she made my "vintage wedding" theme come to life. I even integrated vintage brooches into my girls' bouquets and corsages, and she did so with such skill and expertise that they were a true highlight of the day that everyone was talking about. I can't thank Patty enough for everything she did, and I hope you consider her for your event. She is a true master and joy to work with!!!

  Patty truly is a fairy godmother. She just handled my wedding this past weekend and of all of the elements of my wedding, the flowers and decor was the star of the show. I was having a smaller wedding and honestly, my goal was to spend as little money as possible on flowers because I didn't feel like they would make much of a difference in a wedding as small as mine. Patty set me straight and showed me how much these things can make a difference especially in a wedding like mine. I spent more than I had originally intended, but I will tell you that the end result was worth every penny. Patty had some great ideas and is extremely creative. I met with her to plan everything and gave her some basic ideas such as colors and themes and she turned that into the most beautiful wedding I could ever imagine. So many of our guests complimented us on the decor and flowers and we gave away the centerpieces because we hated to see them go to waste. Everything was just perfect the day of too. I had to worry about nothing and all of the other vendors commented on how great she was to work with. I would definitely recommend Patty and use her again. She was a pleasure to work with and she is not only florist, but really an event designer who will make yours shine. One note is that they do not take credit cards, but they were very flexible with payment scheduling.

  Patty handled our flowers and decor for our wedding last weekend at the Cheney Mansion. She is a joy to work with, and her ideas and creations spot on. She truly embraced our vision, complete with mini bottles of Maker's Mark bourbon as table gifts. Look no further for your wedding- Patty is the real deal!

  Patty did a great job with the flowers for my wedding. Planning was very easy and the flowers looked amazing! She was a huge help the day of the wedding and set everything up and found all the family members that needed flowers without any assistance from me. I highly recommend her!

  We could not have been happier with Patty and Fairy Godmothers support and service in our wedding planning and their work on our wedding day. From our first meeting over tea in her sweet workshop I knew we could trust her and she wasn't like other pushy vendors we had met. Patty took in all of our ideas and the idiosyncrasies of what we wanted and delivered better than we could have even imagined. We received so many compliments and more than one person told me it was "magical." In addition to her knowledge of the best seasonal product and her skillful delivery of beautiful arrangements, Patty was also a trusted coordinator for all of the extras, like transporting our delicate vintage cake topper and placing it expertly with the fresh flowers on the cake, or hauling our place cards and other knickknacks so we wouldn't have to stress about making sure those got out in time or anything was forgotten during the hubbub of the big day. I was at ease knowing that she could handle everything with our venues and other vendors professionally. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

  Very happy with my wedding flowers. I had a great time planning flower arrangements with Patty for my wedding. She was very understanding, seemed very knowledgeable and skillful. Both bouquets for my bridesmaids and myself were gorgeous, and centerpieces were exactly what I wanted. The bouquets were a mix of light green hydrangeas and vendella ivory roses. The centerpieces were two dozen of vendella roses with some greenery. And most importantly it was reasonably priced. She even suggested and tastefully added a little bling to the ribbons on the centerpiece vases. One thing during the process, I wish Patty had more pictures from her previous weddings, so it would be easier for me to pick and choose and feel more confident that I will get exactly what I envision. But we did a sample centerpiece before the wedding, tweaked a few things and it was great!

  Worked very hard to explain what I wanted on my wedding day, provided pictures and colors but got something completely different. Way too many leaves in my centerpieces when there was no discussion of this ahead of time. Her explaination was she had to do this to cut cost; I would have rather had her told me this ahead of time so we could have agreed on something smaller with more color and less leaves. My bouquets were very plain without much color and one bouqet was missing hypericum berries. Things looked OK but not what I wanted for my special day.

  We went with Patty for our March wedding. I'm not a big flower person, but I knew exactly what I wanted. We wanted a clean and modern look...did we get that? Not exactly. Our centerpieces were nothing like what we wanted. All we wanted was gerbera daisies in pink and yellow with lemons...what we got, I couldn't even tell you what most of the flowers were. Were things beautiful? Yes. My mother in law, who is a big time gardener, loved the arrangements and bouquets. Why so many stars then, when I didn't get exactly what I wanted? Patty is super nice and truly puts you at ease, even when you don't know a thing about flowers. She knows what she is doing. She made a makeshift bouquet for my flower girl when she was so upset she had a basket and not a bouquet.

  Fairy Godmothers recently provided the flowers for my wedding in downtown Chicago and I have nothing but great things to say about Patty and her staff. Our Reception was in the Rookery building and I can't count how many people made a point of saying how great the flowers looked throughout the night. Patty was extremely helpful in taking the vision I had for the flowers and turning it into a reality. In addition to the flowers, Patty acted as a day of planner / coordinator on my Wedding Day and made my day considerably less stressful. I can't stress enough how happy my Husband and I were with Patty and her entire team. We would highly recommend Fairy Godmothers to other couples and we look forward to working with her in the future. -Bre

  Patty is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From the very moment we met her, we felt at ease. She listened to our needs, gave us great advice and truly collaborated on an absolutely stunning day. She went WAY above and beyond the call of duty. We felt completely taken care of. Every little detail was handled by Patty, with grace and charm. She took our ideas, our visions, and turned them into something better than we could have ever imagined. Her floral and decor arrangements were stunning. The bridal bouquet, with it's special touches (including antique crystals from my mother-in-law (i.e. something borrowed) and charm sized photographs of our loved ones who couldn't be with us (i.e. my something old)) was not to be believed. People are STILL talking about it! Thank you, Patty! You're AMAZING!
