These people damaged my oil plug during my last oil change, then charged me to replace it on the next one. They insist that it must have been done at the last place I got the oil changed and they're correct, because Currie is the only place that has ever changed the oil in my car. Then they wanted 160 to run diagnostics on a potential radiator fan issue, which doesn't even include actually repairing it. I bought an odb2 scanner on Amazon for 20 dollars while I was in the waiting room so I can do that scan myself. Suffice it to say I'm never coming back. Stay away from this place.

Sonia in service was courteous and very helpful. Auto service can be stressful but Sonia explained things and offered services without being too pushy or rude! Thank you Sonia!

They sabotaged my car when I brought it in for an oil change. They finessed me into trading it in for a Malibu. I paid the Malibu off. I will never do business with Currie Motors and will gladly share my experience with anyone willing to listen!!!!!!

I decided to go to Currie motors because they are the closest dealer to my house and the guy that I go to at Biggers in Elgin is off on Mondays. So I got a coupon and brought it in and immediately before I handed over the car. They told me I had two codes, including one that was an issue that I fixed months ago. And the service writer had quite the attitude. So much for "nice people to do business with."

I will start with the customer service which was excellent, Manny was very knowledgeable and great with explanations. My car was with them for a day and a half, rental service was provided. When I picked the car up, it was running beautifully because I had a malfunctioned fuel injector but there was a small ding in my driver's side door that wasn't there when I left it. If you must leave your car for repair, walk around it with the service staff....if possible or walk around it yourself along with taking pics when dropping off and retrieving. I'm still experiencing the issues I came in there with, the fuel injector problem was their find, thank goodness for an extended warranty. I was advised that I have leaking struts which I will get repaired elsewhere.

Paul at Currie Motors helped us find the perfect car for my family! He took the time to listen to our needs and worked hard to get us in a car that was within our budget. He wasn't pushy at all! On the contrary, he was so patient and held a car for me for an extended period of time until I could get out to the dealership to test drive it, which he insisted I do before I even put down a deposit. When I finally got to the dealership, I was greeted by a friendly staff and treated like a VIP. The process was so quick and easy with everyone from managers to financiers making sure that I understood everything. I also want to give an extra special shout out to Sergio and Desaun for spending the time to make sure I understood all of the financing and every little detail of the car before I drove off the lot. Thanks so much to Paul and everyone else at Currie Motors who made this the best and easiest experience. I can't recommend them enough!!

***DO NOT BUY OR GET SERVICE HERE*** (lengthy but worth the read) I was not only called a "smart ass" by the Service Manager Daniel Datil, but I was also told not to return - solely for sticking up for myself to getting the oil change coupon honored. I am sure this is happening to many, if not all the patrons getting service there. Currie Motors is using a coupon to get people in the door and upcharge them once customers get there. I scheduled an appointment for 3/21/23 at 7:05am for an oil change and tire rotation. I got there and it was already pretty busy. The service employee who attended me was Dylan Culver, and I advised him that I had a coupon for a 6-quart Oil Change/Tire Rotation for $59.95 that is posted and advertised on their website. Dylan proceeded to tell me that, "after taxes it come out to about $70", without saying further. I waited in the Currie Motors lobby until approximately 9:00AM where a mechanic had my paperwork, brought it to the cashier's window, and stuck the paperwork inside with my keys. I asked the cashier to see the invoice and saw that I was going to be paying way more than $70 dollars and way more than the $59.95 oil change coupon that was advertised, and she told me to go speak to Dylan. This is not the only time it happened as I got my second oil change here and the same thing happened even after presenting the coupon. Dylan stated I had to pay that amount because of extra oil and for labor, but I reminded him that my coupon was for 6 quarts not 5 so the extra oil charge should not be applied. I also tried to explain that the coupon does not, in the disclaimer portion, state that it would be extra for labor as it is implied that a mechanic would be doing the oil change. Dylan spoke to Daniel Datil who then told him to discount $5 where I would still be paying about $65 for the oil change. Daniel eventually stepped in to speak to me and he proceeded to interrupt when I tried to explain the disclaimer on the coupon. I told Daniel I would be writing this review where he then became irate and told me, "now you're just being a smart ass". Daniel then said he'd have Dylan change the price to the correct amount, but told me I shouldn't return to get my oil change there. I could not get a copy of the original invoice I was given as I was told it was shredded already. The terrible customer service by Dylan and Daniel is very upsetting. Getting called a smart ass for trying to explain the coupon is beyond low and unprofessional by Daniel. The rest of the service employees stood by quietly. I only wanted the coupon honored by Currie Motors, but it seemed Dylan and Daniel wanted to up-charge me. The others I saw in the waiting room were mostly elderly African American individuals who likely wish to not speak out and pay the upcharge. At the end of this, this review will be submitted to the Illinois Commerce Commission and Better Business Bureau.

Mr. Adam Seigel was helping me even though my auto is an older model, he treated me with dignity and respect. And, that's what keep me coming back. When I am ready to purchase another automobile, I will consider Currie Motors.

Apparently an 1:45 wait is standard for an oil change according to the service desk. I was also recommended an annual service for a vehicle I owned for 8 months, and threatened with recourse via denying warranty claims if I did not do so. When I asked if the reason for the long wait was because there was a queue and was told there wasn't - however upon entering the waiting room it was clear they were overbooked and understaffed. Last time visiting.

The service department staff is not as courteous if you're no longer under warranty and that's my take on the matter.
