Who doesn't love affordable, AAA+ quality appliances, furniture and mattresses?? Etchison's will always be the "go-to" store in our area!

Bought a used dryer. I will try to give an update in 30 days to say if it was a good deal. So far it's working perfectly.

They always have the appliances we need at great, affordable prices and even deliver our of town. We love in a rural area and it's nice to have a local appliance store who will deliver in the country so that we don't have to try to haul it.

Absolutely horrible business. Had a minor issue with our washer not draining occasionally so we had to recycle it once in about 10 or 15 loads. Called and spoke to the owner since we bought the washer from him. He advised when something like that happens it’s usually just a sock has gotten behind the tub and intermittently blocks the drain. We set up a service appt and that’s when the trouble began. Service man showed up and started trashing the machine. Never checked for anything behind tub. Said we had ruined the latch by slamming the lid the tipped it over and said oh it’s shot and you can’t get parts for these old machines(3yrs old). Started taking it apart then said belts shot the transmission is leaking oil and pumps bad. When he got done he said since it’s shot I’ll just throw these parts inside it. Then handed me a bill for $155 and said if you buy a new one he will probably forget this bill and with out asking called the store and said he wants to buy a new one and handed me the phone. I paid the bill and told him to get out. I called the owner and told him his guy destroyed my machine and wanted my money back. He agreed to just charge me $75 for the service call and refund the rest. When I went in he tried to short me $15 on the refund. I asked him if he was even concerned his employee destroyed our machine. His response was what am I supposed to do with a trusted employee, take him out back and shoot him. A very arrogant rude person who apparently doesn’t care about repeat customers. So much for supporting our local small businesses.

Repairman came and looked at dryer. It was fine but overloaded. He trashed my dryer. He trashed my laundry room. He didn't come back or contact us. We called Steve Etchison and instead of making it right and coming and cleaning up the destructive mess his employee caused, or at least apologizing for his employee trashing my home, he was more worried about being defensive about a warranty . Which mind you Fridgidaire's 10 year parts and service warranty dude claims a year warranty mind you it's 13 months and his employers lack of professionalism is disgusting. This is ridiculous I'm sure one month outside the 1 year warranty my dryer supposedly had catastrophic failure. No no it didn't. I imagine if I put it back together it will fire right up

We have bought every appliance we own from Etchison's. The products have been great and the service has always been excellent. We keep our appliances much longer than everyone recommends. I'm sure the great service will continue under Steve. We just bought a new washer and dryer from him.

My washer went out around 2pm. They had a new one brought out and installed by 3:45pm. I live in the country north of Louisville 15minutes, so that's pretty fast service.... Great job and thank u!
