Now that you can't self check it is terrible. the cashier is either outside smoking, on their phone while checking us out or nowhere to be found. For a brand new store its a mess.

This is a unicorn of a Dollar General. Store is clean. Isles are traversable. Employees are findable and super friendly. Keep up the good work.

I don't think Dollar General is doing everything they are able to serve Flora. Clay City and Louisville have nicer stores. My biggest complaint for the past year or so a lot of items that you buy rings up a higher price than listed on the shelf. It's not just 10 cents it's always 50 cents to a dollar. Then if you catch it the cashier tries to argue with you that it was in the wrong place. They basically lie and try to gaslight you. They will not let you have the item for the price on the shelf. Who has time to for that kind scenario? If you go in there and buy 10 or 12 different things you can be overcharged $3 to $5 or more. How is this ethical? If I stole something that costs $3 they have the right to call the cops and have me arrested.

They have the basic things that you may need, and is usually stocked fairly well. The cashiers were a little grumpy and not super helpful, but it is a great spot for your basic needs.

Watch out for the dates on food here, I've bought a few different food ( cereal, snack cakes, chocolate milk) and the expiration dates had passed. Other than that the store is great I usually end up spending more than I planned. The staff is friendly and helpful.
