Rob has been so incredibly helpful since he took over. Any issue that we’ve come across, he’s immediately taken action. The ladies in the office are super sweet and attentive as well. Always worried about how we are feeling about the place and how we’re doing. They’re really turning this place around.

The new manager took care of my problem in a timely manner. Loving the change in management, hope to see more improvements.

Currently living here and the ac has been broken since summer started. Its hot and no one seems to want to actually fix the problem. Ive put in multiple requests to get this fixed. They gave me a portable ac and it does nothing for the rest of the apartment. It just cools down the room its in. They “fix” the ac unit but then its hot again a day later. Definitely not renewing my lease here

Thank you to Tim Main & Seth in maintenance. They work hard in keeping things working properly within this apartment complex & if there's ever a real emergency maintenance has a contact number for resident's to call. Which is reassuring just in case.
Also, the complex & grounds are kept nice & clean and I have never had any issues with pests. Which, is a great thumbs-up in my book!

My son and I have been at Winchester Place for 1.5 years. From the very first night of living here, we’ve had problems. The toilet was clogged which flooded the bathroom and hallway, and when I called the 24-hour maintenance line, a guy came multiple hours later, reeking of alcohol. I personally unclogged the toilet hours before this, so when he arrived he did nothing. He didn’t help clean up all the water and told me to use towels.
I looked past this even though our toilet clogs WEEKLY now, and don’t get me started on the sinks and shower taking forever to drain. I regularly buy drano, and it’s gotten very expensive over the course of us living here.
The light above our stove is permanently on, even when I try to turn it off. I’ve put in a maintenance request for this, and they claimed to have fixed it, but they obviously haven’t as it does not turn off.
The closet doors in every room constantly come off their tracks. My son’s closet has 3 sliding doors for some reason so you can barely open up one side. It makes no sense at all, and it’s very inconvenient. It’s a nightmare trying to put stuff in it so we don’t really use it.
The counter tops in the bathroom and kitchen were literally painted to cover up the outdated vinyl on them. The weird paint makes it look worse and chips very easily. This is cosmetic so I looked past it.
My electric bill is almost double what it was when we lived in a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath house because their buildings and doors are not insulated properly. My heater and AC constantly run. Not an exaggeration!!!
And then there’s the blatant and almost cruel false advertising in their ads and by their leasing office employees. In all of their ads online and on their pamphlets, they advertise TWO nice and WORKING pools. The entire time I’ve lived here they have both been closed and out of order I was told by the leasing agent they were in the middle of fixing them and that since they were broken we would be given complimentary passes to the Rec Center in Fairview Heights which has an indoor pool. Well, summer came, and we were only given 2 passes to the public, always crowded O’Fallon pool for 2 summers in a row. One of the MAIN reasons I picked this place to live was the WORKING pool in the ads. The leasing officer assured me they would be working by the end of the summer, and it was just a plumbing issue. They even pointed out the fact that there was a trench dug around the pools, letting me know they were currently working on them.
The pond and walking track are completely trash ridden, and the tennis courts are VERY different than the pictures online. They’re barely useable. Don’t even bother.
The dumpsters are constantly overflowing with trash in and around them because waste management only comes once a week. It always stinks.
All of this is extremely disappointing, but we’ve survived and made do so far. The straw that broke the metaphorical camel’s back happened this morning when my son and I walked out to the parking lot to leave for the day only to find our rental car completely missing. I called 911 because I thought it was stolen, and I was told it was “private property vehicle towed.” Why? Because I parked in the inner perimeter area of parking to bring in all our groceries last night and not the outer perimeter “guest” area. Now I have to deal with this completely UNPROFESSIONAL and TRASHY tow company to get my rental car out. (My car is currently in the shop) it’s going to cost me almost $400 that I don’t have because I’m a single mother who barely makes rent(but has NEVER been late).
This is how Winchester Place treats their residents. We have never caused this place any problems.
DO. NOT. EVER. RENT. HERE!!!!!!!

I have been disappointed since my husband and I moved into these apartments. Within the very first day of us moving in, in April of 2023, the thermostat wasn’t working, and the toilets don’t flush, plus the bathroom sink takes days to drain. We put a work order in the very first week we moved in, the maintenance team came a couple of days to a week later and only fixed the AC.
We are almost out of here next month, and we STILL have terrible plumbing issues. We get 1 good flush every 4 hours, and we have to brush our teeth in the shower because we can’t in the sink due to the water not draining for DAYS.
The 1 bed 1 bath apartments are EXTREMELY expensive(in the thousands) and very small, without a washer and dryer connect. Absolutely ridiculous.
The parking is TERRIBLE. Every night I come home i have to park far away from my apartment, (because people don’t park in guest parking), all of those cars survived the night…….but my new car that wasn’t tagged because I’m moving next month, gets towed. I would definitely not recommend these apartments. You can take your $1100+ somewhere else and live beautifully and I’m sure with a better management and maintenance team.
By the way ROB you have been great to us man!
But Winchester Sucks.

Lived here for three years and had few issues, the apartments are comfortable and cozy, and the location is very central and gives you access to a lot of shops and restaurants. Rent was fair enough and on-site maintenance is prompt and supportive.Another plus is that in my entire time there I never once dealt with ants or pests another prop to their groundskeeper.

My kid had her car towed. No signs for what they claim is visitors parking. Resident told her to park where she did. When we inquired of the office manager as to the rules, were told there are signs everywhere and the residents are told monthly. That proved to be false. Cared little about clearing up a clear misunderstanding. Pathetic. I understand rules, but at least provide clearly marked parking for visitors.

I wish I could give a zero but it’s not available, I have been a tenant for over two years and it’s clearly some things I could complain about but I chose not too, because I try my best to keep to myself and not bother anyone but from the meeting I just had with The property manager Tye has left a bad taste in my mouth. The property manager and Winchester are standing behind these people they hire as contractors and “some” of there employees that are criminals and convicted felons and child predators in our homes Tye and Winchester not running proper background checks on their employees or contractors, one I know is the man name jodicie, Not the song we use to like but the man that went into my home last year stole some items and while he had sticky fingers he messed up expensive shoes that I will be posting. That was well over 4,000 dollars and now months later I come to find out he terminated his insurance lady June 2023 so that makes you think to yourself that “Winchester “ the property management that has gotten over 1,600 dollars from me for over 2 years not properly checking their insurance or the people they hire to come in our homes our safe haven. But we get robbed and if you are military they treat us like we do not matter I’m military and I hate this for anyone to endure. This will be my last year but just know ANYONE THAT HAS BEEN HERE AND NOTICE ANYTHING MISSING OR MESSED UP GO TO THE POLICE “ BEAWARE OF WINCHESTER PLACE BECAUSE IF I CAN RUN A BACKGROUND ON JODICE….and find out that he is a convicted felon and is known for robbing and other criminal acts, why is he in my house working on anything…I just filed through the courts today because I was denied a phone call from Tye boss he said they not paying for a damn thing…lol wow but people keep your hard earned money because staying here is definitely not for honest people

Horrible they harass you day and night even if you’ve never been late and add all kind of fees to your rent. Ty and the other guy in the office is rude as hell I wouldn’t recommend anyone to move here unless you’re really in need for some place to live they don’t care who they move in and they are roach infested and will try to pretend you brought them with you

I have lived here less than a month and have had great experience with the maintenance men. The initially came out within two weeks to check out my concerns I noted upon move-in. May seem like a long time, but none were significantly serious so I figured they would happen in due time. Just wanted to give a shout out to Timothy Main for coming in within 24 hours to fix my furnace when the outside temperature was 32 degrees.
Considering I have a condition that makes me super sensitive to cold weather, I greatly appreciated the quick response!
Is the place perfect? No it’s not. I was told about the pool and working on foundation, but was given the attitude it should be done by next summer. Nice to know they have a connection with OFallon Parks n Recreation and being able to get a pass through them in the meantime.
Would be a great opportunity if they painted numbers for assigned parking. One for each resident nearest their building then a second spot in the middle of the parking lot. Seems like common sense to me. Who knows maybe they will!
