Had driven by this place for years and never even noticed it. Scouting for storage facilities and visited several. Wanted to view inside before making a decision. Person working inside didn't tell us we couldn't drive our vehicle into the storage area. Hubby was driving through the gate when she stopped him mid way. Then the gate started closing onto our vehicle. Fortunately without any damage to his car. How very unfortunate and dangerous that the gate doesn't have a sensor??

I rented a UHaul truck and added a dolly. The truck was too small for my task, so I returned it and asked if I could keep the dolly longer. I was told it has to be back by 5 pm, or by 9 am the next day. My wife returns the truck at 3. At 3:30 I get a text from the UHaul traffic department that the truck hasn't been returned. I call them, and they tell me the site won't check in the truck until I return the dolly. Traffic contacted the site, who called and told me the same. I asked why, because I rented and paid for the dolly as a separate charge from the truck. Why can't the truck be checked in? No one told me that was how it worked. The guy also had an attitude about me not having the dolly back with the truck, even though he told me I could keep it until tomorrow morning at 9 am. I call traffic back and ask if I can complain to a supervisor about not being told how the arrangement with the dolly and the truck worked. This is where it got weird. The UHaul district manager calls me. He tells me that he's spoken to the site. I can keep the dolly until tomorrow morning, but if I don't return it on time I'll be charged and extra day for the dolly AND the truck. I'm also told that I can't be trusted to keep my word, and that "another family" has the dolly reserved for tomorrow at 9 am. All I wanted to do was talk to the manager about the policy for checking in the truck not being given to me verbally or in writing. Instead, this manager goes nuclear and threatens me. I went home and immediately returned the dolly to UHaul. I then went to a competitor and rented another one. Honestly, the UHaul man at the site was rude to a woman who was with him before me. I felt bad for her. I don't know if they were related or if she was another customer. I saw them looking at a truck together when I pulled in. The UHaul district manager needs some serious customer service training. Maybe start with listening to the customer before you start threatening damages and impugning your customer. Most of the time an unhappy customer just wants to be heard. All you have to do is listen. I will not rent from UHaul again. I will never do business with Ashland. What a terrible experience.

Have not had an issue renting here. The only downfall is that it is not accessible 24 hours a day, other than that I am happy with renting here.

Rented here for over 18 months-went to check on my unit today and found the floor covered in water. An apology was given for the inconvenience and nothing more. Had to call 800 junk to remove all the water damaged items. It cost me $400 to trash my belongings that should have been safe from water damage!!!! I selected this company because it appeared to have good constructed units and safety features. The kid that set up my unit screwed everything up and clearly forgot to mention they offered insurance protection! Very disappointed in how the matter was NOT resolved.

Overall very clean, well-maintained, and reasonably priced, and the staff have always been very fast and friendly whenever I had any questions.
