Customer service has always been great. The burgers are not what they were years ago. The food was cooked on a flat top, now it’s the same as fast food. My burger was hard to chew with little flavor. This place was the spot for a good combo meal up until a few years ago. The fries are still the best in town. Small family owned place!

I'm writing this review and I'm giving them a 5 purely for their customer service when we received our order it was about 75% thawed out but it's also been several 90ﾟ days. When I called them and explained the situation, they said they would ship it the following week with more ice so this review is based purely on them doing the right thing thanks so much.

I finally got some pork fritters after almost 40 years a month or so ago.(I loved them as a kid.) They taste the same. I got some more last week when I went home again. I also got one pack of the chicken fritters. We just ate those and they were pretty good. I said to my wife "I wish they had some spicy chicken fritters". I looked up the website and there they are. I want some! I live in the southeast, NC, i would love to be able to buy them down here but have not seen any here. I know they would see well here. Hope to see them in the store someday soon. Food Lion would be a good retailer. Hint Hint.

The Meat Shoppe is amazing. It's a hidden gem in Fairbury, and I love stopping by this restaurant over my lunch hour to enjoy an incredible burger. The Steidinger's use fresh, quality meat for their burgers and you can taste the difference. So many people love Green Gables located on Lake Bloomington, but I honestly think a Meat Shoppe burger may be better than a Gables burger. Some may be offended by that statement, but it's a really close battle. I would say that what sets the Meat Shoppe over the top is their fries. I'm all about side dishes, and the fries that come with the combo (along with a drink) are some of the best I've ever had. Not to mention that the price is very affordable, with a combo coming in at around $6-$7. On a side note, he interior of the restaurant isn't crazy nice, but the food is what truly counts:) I love the Meat Shoppe, and I hope it stays around for many years to come!
