Highly recommend. If you're on the south side of Chicago and want to smoke a cigar, definitely give Smokey Bear a look. The star here is the selection; the number of brands they carry (and the depth within each brand) is on par with the best in the city. Pricing is ok; I saw several sticks which were a good deal (i.e. Liga, Padron) but several others were on the high side (i.e. Fuente.) The sit down lounge isn't big, but it's cozy. Everyone who came in was super chill, and they have a number of TVs to keep you entertained. If you're planning to sit in the lounge, you have to purchase 2 sticks. They had water and soft drinks, and I believe it's BYOB for alcohol.

The staff the atmosphere and their selection of cigars is 2nd to none. Not to mention the great prices. They have cigars no one else has, Arturo Fuente, Montecristo. And more. If you're looking for a man cave away from home then this is the spot for you.

The new renovations are very nice. Very comfortable seating. Enlarged humidor with great selections. The staff was kind and accommodating.

I was remiss in reporting that shortly after posting my review, I was contacted by the owner of Smokey Bear (Johnny). He contacted me, invited me back to the store and explained his customer service philosophy. He also provided a full credit for the returned product, which I was happily to use in the store. I'm sure my situation was an outlier, which was corrected generously and professionally by the owner.

I had not been in the store in at least 5 years. Completely revamped large retail area with incredible selection. The old humidor is now a storage area. literally, something for everyone from flavored to full bodied beasts. Their cigar prices are comparable to any on the south side, and yes while that is way more than you pay at the on-line shops there is no risk of getting dry sticks a week later or being fooled by a picture. You pay for the brick-and-mortar. I was surprised to learn they still had my loyalty program information saved after all that time and they let me know what I needed for my next reward. The staff was friendly and walked me around giving me information on all the smokes I was looking at and I looked at a lot - I don't have a go-to, l try something new every time I stock up my humidor. The only downside is parking - park in the strip-mall across the street if you don't like to cut across traffic into the postage stamp of a parking lot.

i didn’t get the guys name but he was very helpful and polite! stopped by to get cigars for my bf not knowing anything about them and he was very patient while trying to help me find what would be best
