This place has such a beautiful selection of fabric, and the customer service is unparalleled!! I also find that they have harder to find notions for specialty projects, and at very good prices. The sewing machine repair and shear sharpening services are impeccable and well-priced. It’s always great to support a local business! Vogue is well worth the drive if you’re anywhere on the north side of Chicago!

The worst place in terms of customer service. The staff is insanely rude and unpleasant. Avoid shopping here. I would rather wait weeks for shipping online then step foot in this store.

Ishrath is amazing!! She helped us immensely with fabric for a wedding dress-finding the fabric and amount we needed. She was knowledgeable, kind and so helpful!! See her with anything you need at Vogue.

Staff seemed unconcerned and unbothered when I turned up a RUSTY NAIL in their box of assorted bulk buttons, just a quick "oh okay" should NOT be the response when a customer HANDS YOU A RUSTY NAIL THEY JUST PULLED OUT OF THE BOX OF BULK BUTTONS THAT CHILDREN PROBABLY STICK THEIR HANDS INTO TO PLAY WHILE THEIR PARENTS SHOP.
Also the lady I asked about buttons and zipper foots had a bad attitude and seemed pretty unknowledgeable about the product saying "i don't know" when I asked what size range standard dress shirt buttons were and what the difference between a plastic and metal zipper foot was, other than price. She claimed she was the manager. I dropped all merchandise I was planning on buying after interacting with her.
I would avoid shopping here. It seems to have gone downhill since the last time I was here.

This is such a cool place! So many different fabrics to choose from. Very well organized and the staff is very knowledgeable and able to help find just what you need. They have specialty fabrics for everything. Plus they have pretty much every price point. Every person I spoke with was so kind and helpful. Absolutely amazing!

I’ve always love this store, and now I do even more! Just bought a sewing machine, based on Jim’s advice (the sewing machine repairer who’s in on Fridays and Saturdays) and it’s exactly what I wanted. If you’re in the market for a great machine, or need repairs, go here!!

THE BEST SEWING MACHINE REPAIR SHOP!!! They only have 1 person in that department, and that’s all they need! Jim is one of the smartest and most helpful individuals in this field, he works on vintage / antique machines as well as new and gives a 1 year warranty for his work. At $90, it is one of the most affordable machine shops and well worth the trip out of Chicago. 10 years sewing and I don’t trust anyone else. He finds extra work that needs to be done and didn’t even charge more than the quoted price. He sold me my first serger and has always been someone who can point me in the right direction.
I bought this new home machine at a thrift store and after taking it home it smoked up, had smell, and wasn’t threading properly. Exactly 1 week later, which is exactly how long he told me it would be, and it’s running like a brand new machine as promised. If you take your work seriously and need a good well running machine, Jim’s expertise is unparalleled

The staff are super friendly and so obliging. The store is quite large and nicely organized with so many lovely high quality products. I enjoyed my trip in today and will definitely be back.

Great shop! All things fabric and sewing! I walked in with a broken sewing machine and left with it working like new. Jim was super nice and helpful.

The fabric is almost limitless in the beauty and vast selection. They seem to always be very busy which may contribute to the feeling of not being fawned over. It has happened to me too. I have been trying to call them all afternoon with no success! Maybe they're swamped.

The helper ( gray hair Caucasian women) at first did not show me a great interest in what I'd ask but did guide me to where I might find what I wanted. When I did find close to what I wanted and asked for 11 yards, she went to find a bigger spool of yard to give me the amount I needed. This was my first time there at the new location, and I didn't know how they arranged things there.
