I had a very upsetting experience at this location today. The staff member spoke to me slowly and in a tone that felt condescending, as if I couldn’t understand English. When she lent me a pen, she told me not to forget to return it because she had already lost three. That made me feel not only mistrusted, but also like a child or a schoolgirl being watched.
Later, she said the way I wrote the number “1” looked like a “7” and told me I should “write it the way we do it here.” That comment made me feel like a stranger, as if I didn’t belong or wasn’t welcome here.
I’m a U.S. citizen and an immigrant. My nature is gentle and polite, so I didn’t confront her in the moment—but I left feeling ashamed, anxious, and I even cried afterward. I’m doing my best to call this place my home. Experiences like this make it harder.
I always treat others with respect, and I believe people—especially those working in public service—should treat customers with the same courtesy in return. I hope USPS will make sure all employees are trained to treat everyone with the basic respect every human being deserves.

I was racially discriminated by a black woman in this store surprisingly. She showed me the most obnoxious attitude and the arrogance to me. In the end she started to yell at me for not putting my letters into the envelop??! What the heck in this world could this woman be still working at USPS.

I'm new to this location, and receive excellent customer service. The young lady who assisted me was very helpful when it came to helping me to set up my PO Box, as well as offering me suggestions on how to locate my missing mail.

Zero stars. I came here at 9.07 am and the post office was closed! What joke is this? Opening hours are displayed as 9-5 am.

There is a new young woman working at this location who is absolutely a pleasure to deal with. Also this location during the weekday is almost always not busy, no waiting. I think it will get busier though as people realize there are new personnel working here.

This review is for Dorothy. She has excellent customer service. There was a rude customer demanding large amounts of money orders and ms.Dorothy stated she didn't feel safe with that much money on site working alone in 2024. Ultimately she gave the customer over 3k in money orders. The store line got very long and busy due to the customer complaining and wanting to do things her way stalling the line. Once done with her transaction she immediately threatened to put a complaint on ms.Dorothey then tried to rally the customers to join her no1 did. I appreciate having someone with great customer service able to service the public with a big smile. Best service I saw since I've been there over time.

Unfriendly lady every time despite trying hard to be nice to her. Was also overcharged for simple stamps. So sad to see a local post office managed by someone who could not be less friendly and seemingly dislikes their job immensely.

Sarah needs a new job! She is never friendly and barely speaks a "hello". It is sad at such a nice old fashioned post office has a bitter old lady behind the desk. TRY BEING NICE SARAH!

I've been going to this post office more than 8 years now. I've been to main office on Davis and Evanston south location, but this location is where I go to. The employee there always try to find me the best option I can use.
