In my experience, the people in this bank are uninformed and hide behind the rules to avoid serving customers. To be fair, this tracks back to US Bank corporate. My mother had Alzheimer's. I was her power of attorney for financial matters. In July, I sent the proper required documents to discover if she had named beneficiaries on her account to Dallas, as requested. They never responded. When I tried following up, my call was passed to a number of people who said they couldn't help, before I was disconnected. Then I tried to do this in September in person at the Evanston location. After presenting the correspondence I'd sent, with all the proper documentation, the personal banker there was obviously out of his league. After spending literally 30 minutes on the phone with the bank's attorneys, he told me they couldn't honor my request. And that I needed a letter from an attorney to do this. When I asked what the letter was supposed to say, the banker said, "I don't know." Then my mother passed in October. I made an appointment with another personal banker to close the account. The banker was 15 minutes late, saying there were other customers who needed help -- even though they'd come in after me. I presented all of the documentation that had worked at other banks to close accounts. These were not acceptable (again). The banker told me I needed to put the money into an estate account with the bank (which isn't correct). The banker spent more time talking with their attorneys, then told me I needed to get a small estate affidavit from an attorney (at least she could name the document!). "I'm just following the rules," she said. It's hard enough when a loved one is terminally ill and then dies. To have three interactions with this bank, have each one be terrible, and to tell me I need to have a fourth one (after spending more money for an affidavit) is -- at the very least -- especially cruel. We'll see what reasons they have for denying my legal request this next time. There aren't strong enough words to advise people to stay away from this bank. If there was an option to give negative stars, I'd take it.

To open an account they are asking for managers approval, never seen that before (low competense) This branch should use some training how to communicate with customers, thouth I was in clothes shop.

We know there is covid and we all know that some places are not fully open or fully staffed. I get it. I went to this bank. Was told in order to open a business account I needed to make an appointment. I was told this by a personal banker who answered the door and said my name needs to be on a schedule ...so I made an appointment which took 5 days to set up and then they told me I'd have to wait another 24 hours since when you call to make an appointment corporate thinks there is still 6 people working here as opposed to just one personal banker and the maintenance guy. This is a good example of a bull s*** operational business that's not operational

Assistant manager Rick is a awesome guy with very strong communication skills. He immediately takes the customers from line and feel them like king. Please dont promote him another place since we want him to be always with us. :)
