“I cannot say enough words to describe how amazing this school is. My 4 year old started his first year here and has grown leaps and bounds since the beginning of the school year. I love their nature based approach which lets the kids explore and discover the outdoors in their awesome fenced in playscape. Their philosophy of promoting independence, yet providing comfort and support is beautiful, and exactly what I searched for in a preschool. All the teachers and Directors at Covenant have been instrumental in my son's physical and emotional growth. The school also offers so many opportunities for parent involvement and really fosters an environment for kids to learn essential skills, all while having so much fun!”

“My son has been going here for a couple of months in the Green Room and I have seen so much improvement with him! The teachers and staff are some of the most friendliest people I have ever met. They take such great care of the kids and very informative with the parents on what happens over there. My son gives them hugs before he leaves!! 10/10 would recommend!”

“Unity has been there the whole way helping to teach our kids to talk and be social, to play well with others, and then to prepare for the next stage of their lives. Also Unity has brought us an amazing community of friends that has helped shape our life in Evanston. There is a wealth of play dates, birthday parties, trips to the park and even some events just for the parents. Highly recommended!”

“This school is absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Most of the teachers and the office admin are so easy to relate to and very personable. The assistant principal and principal, Mr. Mendez and Mrs. Ellison are AMAZING! They are tangible, fair and will experience every day life at Washington school WITH the parents AND the students. They respond fast and they are willing to listen with an ear of concern, care and accountability (as they are parents themselves). My children are happy, safe, having fun and learning with a few bumps along the way. GREAT JOB, WASHINGTON!!”

“School for Little Children is quite literally a gem of a preschool in Evanston. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experiences here. My son has been going to SLC for the past several years, and my daughter graduated from SLC two years ago and still misses it and talks about her experiences there every day.We would 100% recommend any family to consider the School for Little Children for their kids if they are looking for the most thoughtful and loving teachers, a warm, safe, and nurturing environment in the classrooms, commitment to equity, relationships and play-based development, and a lovely, close-knit community.
