This lovely little gallery is full of always-changing exhibits by local artists. When a new exhibit is added, the artist does a talk to a small audience with the opportunity to ask questions of the artists directly. Perspective is a great addition to the local community.

I love photography and especially photography from artists who aren't trying to make a million dollars by churning out trendy garbage - so I of course fell in love with Perspective as soon as I walked in. The art is thoughtful, intelligent, emotional and so, so genuine. The artists are helpful, committed to the studio and to Evanston, and collaborative. Perspective is a must-do for any artist visiting Evanston, do not pass it up.

Perspective Gallery has been a wonderful gallery to show my work in. I recently was in their 2014 LENS show. It was a pleasure working with Christopher Schneberger. Every process went smoothy from dropping off my work to picking it up. Every time I would enter the gallery, there would be somebody pleasant greeting me and they also would tell me a little about each artist and their works on their wall. They put together these small booklets for the show that features and publishes the entire works from the show. They also print postcards for each artist to send to others to promote their show. The gallery is clean and professional looking. They even sent me a personalized invitation to opening night! I highly recommend doing business with this gallery.

Great photographic work on display, very thoughtful and enjoyable. If you are looking for something to hang on the wall, there is everything from narratives to something simply pretty. Either way, something for everyone. In particular I enjoyed the work of Janise Lenore and Sasha Andruzheychik in the most recent juried show- which if you hustle- still up for you to covet too. The subtlety and textures of these photographs... mesmerizing. In the $100- $150 range: Which is a pretty affordable way to support local artists, not to mention gussy up the walls of your home and office!

Perspective Gallery is a co-op gallery of up to 20 fine art photographers. The exhibits change each month, and there is an opening reception the first Saturday of each month from 5-8pm. The gallery hosts LENS, an annual international juried show in March, as well as an annual high school show each summer. The gallery is friendly and accessible, and an artistic asset to Evanston.
