I have been going here for years and the doctor and staff are all great. I was especially thrilled on my most recent visit to learn they have new technology that makes the eye health part of the exam FAR more comfortable. I had been dragging my feet because I hate the eye exam, but it couldn't have been easier! Highly recommend the doctor and the process!

This store is in a great location. It's right on the corner so you can't miss it. The store is clean and organize. Glasses are everywhere so a shopper has a great option if they need glasses. I was well please with my first visit. I shall return. The staff was very pleasant. The secretary greeted me and it was straight to business. She made the process easy and direct. She walked me through my process and answered my questions. She made me feel like a real customer and not a number. I didn't catch her name though. I'll get it next time. Next, my doctor Marni was sensational. She was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable. She given me tips to look for concerning eyes . Lastly, Vera was great at checking me out. They made it easy and smooth. I definitely would recommend this location..

5 star and my dad and sister went here a couple of months ago and we picked out new glasses for school, My mom Chrissy, a doctor here was helpful to me in getting the best pair of glasses she has ever sold to me and I am very happy.

Buyer beware: MyEyeDr on Central street in Evanston is a heavy-handed sales hustle.Let's start with the (ahem) inaccurate things I was told by Larry, the man who sold me the glasses:Larry told me I would get a 20% discount on my glasses. Nope. I got $35 off instead of the $170 I was expecting. Never mind that my insurance that I had already paid for should have included a %20 discount.How did I ever agree to that? That was the second inaccuracy. Larry told me he couldn't show me the invoice for the glasses until after I had paid. So I was caught off guard.Third inaccuracy. Larry said the "Plan" that I paid $29 for was an anti-scratch coating. It isn't. It is an option to buy a second pair of glasses at 50% off if your first pair is lost or damaged.But wait, there is more! Larry's price for the Armani glasses I bought was $850. Care to guess Armani's own price for the exact same glasses? $715.There were other excessively high charges. Anti-reflective coating was a good one. My insurance plan allows $95 for it. Larry's charge - $180. Warby Parker's charge - $0. Yep - $0. It is included in the price of their lenses at Warby Parker.The cost for the progressive lenses themselves was $469. That was $60 over my insurance allowance and $74 more than Warby Parker charges. There was no discussion about an option for less expensive readers or bifocals.There was also a $44 charge for "Photos". Of what I have no idea, it was simply on the bill.The final bit of sales hustle came when I asked for a copy of my prescription. The pupil distance numbers were missing. Those numbers are necessary to actually order a new pair of glasses.There was nowhere on the prescription itself for them to be entered. I had to ask Larry for them. He angrily hand wrote them on my prescription.What do all of those small charges add up to over and above a fair retail price? $363.Buyer beware. I won't be back.

I have been looking for a new pair of the Silhouette frame everywhere. But none of the store sales would like to help me place an order. Thanks, Larry, who helped me four years ago, placed order for a new frame of Sihouette, enabling me to get the new pair of glass. Every time I walk into this place, my chest feels heavy. I am never welcomed with kindness and the staff makes me feel terrible about myself. Thanks to that one lady (I do not care for your name) who said I looked bad in glasses.. you really boosted my confidence. Also, the staff put down my gender as male... when I am clearly a women, and when I asked for them to change it, the lady at the front desk said "I can't multi-task"... Do better.

Nice fast smooth and easy. Called and when I got there they already had my insurance on file from getting info on the phone. Started right away, felt comfortable to ask any questions and look around. Nice staff and good environment.

Chrissy & Larry were absolutely fantastic to work with. They went above and beyond helping me pick the right frames for me based on my insurance and prescription. They were so kind and spent a lot of time with me to make the right choice. I’ve never had this treatment before when picking new glasses in my life. I’ll be back every year!

I have been going to this location for about twenty years, first as Specs and then as My Eye Dr. It has always been a good place to purchase eyesore. When the change came and a new staff appeared, I was concerned that the quality would diminish. I must say that the service and the staff are even better than before. It appears that My Eye Doctor knows it' glasses and how to satisfy customers, too. This is how a business should be run. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and anxious to do the right thing. Great customer service! Went above and beyond to replace frames that I had broken. Highly recommend.
