I love this studio so much. They have excellent classes offered at multiple levels of ease and challenge. Their teachers are very knowledgeable/supportive and the owners are kind and welcoming. They also offer really interesting Sunday programming (Soul Care Sunday) for yoga and other wellness topics.

This was our first time practicing at Lighthouse Yoga. We took Thomas’ Gentle Yoga and Breathwork class on a Saturday afternoon. The pace of the class was perfect, the instruction was thoughtful and we left feeling relaxed and at peace. Highly recommend this studio!

I had a wonderful experience with the Lighthouse Yoga studio when looking for a yoga space for my child who identifies as gender non-binary. They made my child (and me) feel welcomed and included. They also pushed themselves to think what a safe space for teens means today. I will be forever grateful to Tracy and to the class instructor.

I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years and I go to another studio that is closer to my house but I came here because Lucien D teaches here on Sunday mornings and that is the main reason for joining. I met Thomas many years back when he was just teaching and now he owns the studio. He is very nice to work with but I prefer a more vigorous work out without high impact and Lucien offers the perfect balance. I get a great workout without impacting my "old" joints. He helps my neck and low back pain issues as well. I like Ji Woo's sessions as well but it doesn't fit my schedule. It wasn't easy to find at first because signage was not helpful at first, but the studio is in the back of an office building and you would miss it if the sign was not outside. I don't know the other teachers but everyone has their own needs and I would definitely recommend trying the studio out.

I initially came to Catherine with chronic neck pain. Physical Therapy had run its course and I noticed that my pain was plateauing. During our introductory acupuncture session, I knew I was in good hands. Not only did Catherine take the time to fully understand the root of my neck issues, she ran through a list of any and all possible ailments that may or may not be connected to it, then proceeded to treat me holistically. Throughout treatment, Catherine kept careful records and always followed up - asking what worked for me and tracking any improvements. She also put in extra due diligence and provided many amazing suggestions for diet, supplements, etc. - anything that could be contributing to my well-being. I really appreciated the care that Catherine put into my care. I wish every healthcare professional had the same amount of professionalism, compassion and holistic knowledge that Cat embodies. And most importantly, I feel soooo much better. Thank you, Cat!

I've been practicing off and on for about 20 years, and yoga is an absolute must for our minds and bodies as we age. This is a great little studio. Rachel, Jancy, and Thomas are all kind, professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They'll help you work around minor injuries -- reminding you to breathe calmly and practice mindfully -- with effort but without force. They'll also cue for more advanced poses if you know them and your body is ready for them. My only wish would be for a slightly larger studio to accommodate all of us weekend-yogis, changing areas rather than having to use the bathroom, and a Level 1-2 class later on Saturdays. Very satisfied new Evanstonian!

I've been waiting, processing my latest review of the yoga portion of LH for a couple of weeks now. I have been going to Lighthouse pretty solidly for a year or so. I have been happy with the location, classes, schedule, teachers, and experiences until I had a recent and very uncomfortable and embarrassing and humiliating misogynistic experience with the owner Thomas. I attended a class one afternoon when Thomas, who is normally the instructor of the class, was out of town. I came in a little bit late and rushed, to a new teacher I did not know, nor did the rest of the class seem to know. When I was leaving I was a little rushed and didn't pay so I had to sign the sign in sheet and noted that I owed for the class. Each class is $17. I returned a few days later to another class of Thomas'. A Monday morning class. When I went to sign in and pay, I told Thomas that I had not paid for the previous class. I had in the past done so and paid a few days later and it was never discussed with me that this was not OK. I felt like that this was a yoga community, and I had been going there on a regular enough basis that perhaps I could be allowed a couple of days of slack. I understand if this is a business and not cool. That's fine, not a problem. I should have received a phone call, because as I went about taking care of business in the moment Thomases anger about the situation became apparent in a very, very obvious way. He explained to me that each teacher knows how to take payments etc. As he explained it his voice begin to rise and the anger became apparent. He then repeated this to me three times as I handed him my credit card to pay for the previous class and the one I was about to attend. Each time he spoke about it his voice became a little louder and a little angrier. People were walking in the door and setting up for class and signing end and it was embarrassing and completely humiliating that this grown man was talking to me like he had a more familiar relationship with me then exist. I am not his wife, his sister, his daughter, his employee, his friend. I am a client. His anger was so obvious that as a business owner myself, I felt he should have called me on the telephone to speak to me privately. Apparently, he doesn't have enough respect for individuals, perhaps just female individuals which I find shocking with daughters a wife and her sister, to do so and found his Monday morning jollies by berating me in publicly in the lobby of his business. I left immediately, feeling winded, and now I'm just mad as hell. No one ever reached out to me about the class that I have pre-paid, which I will never attend. The last thing I want to do ever is to go back to a yoga instructor feels it appropriate to do so. The last thing I wanted to do in that moment was to attend his class and listen to his voice for an hour and a half.I will never return. I am only here to spread the karma that he has created for his business manners. Ladies, don't give your business to people or places who don't respect you.

One of the best places to get find a great yoga class. All teachers are great. Catherine goes beyond being great acupuncturist. She's really a healer. Family run.

I have attended since they opened their doors. Family owner and oriented, they offer a variety of classes, workshops and teacher training. The skill level of the teachers is consistently high. Their attitude of inclusiveness, creates an ambience of sensitivity and acceptance. I highly recommend to anyone regardless of age or practice level.
