This is by far the WORST and rudest company I have ever had to deal with. I had to pay money up front - I was told that I would receive an invoice, which I have yet to receive.The $ 3,000.00 shower door was poorly installed and I called multiple times, to have someone come back to adjust it. After fighting & proving that it was indeed "Evanston Glass & Mirror Ltd, who installed this shower door poorly ( I had proof of a picture of there van in my drive way ) they finally agreed to come and adjust the glass door. The gentlemen said he could not fix it and left. After leaving several messages again, I was told that they could come out in about 6 weeks. Totally horrible company.

Great service experience. Was able to get a pretty quick appointment to repair glass pane on porch window. Got multiple text reminders of appointment and text and phone call when technician was running 20 mins late. Beautiful job of glass replacement and glazing by Caesar, done in one hour. He was friendly and professional. Easy billing and payment through their app, with a very fair price.

They said they would call me when the glass was ready (estimate of two days). I received no phone call. I called the next day, during business hours, but got no response. I called a couple of hours later--still no response, so I left a message. The message was not returned. That was on Saturday. I called Monday morning, but they couldn't find the glass. They took a while to look around, then asked if I had ordered insulated glass (or some other, similar special form of glass). No, I said, just plain float glass. They said they would have to call me back, which they did --about an hour later. They said they got confused because there were two similar names on tickets. The person on the phone had quoted me a cost of $30. When I went to pick the glass, they charged me $38. I didn't quibble at that point. I just wanted to get out of there as quick as I could. Caveat Emptor!

Our next door neighbors referred us. No job is too small. I like them for that. The guys are friendly and conscientious. They do great work.

I cannot recommend this business to anyone. This review is long overdue. I was busy with my construction but now that it's finished I will write it for the benefit of the next person who is considering using Evanston Glass and Mirror. I called to ask if they would be able to reinstall a shower door that they had originally installed a number of years ago. They said they could and that I should call them when I was ready to have the door installed. I called just before the July 4th weekend and they asked me my name which I gave them. I didn't realize that the account with them was under my husbands name which shouldn't have been a big deal but I could hear someone in the background mocking that "idiot doesn't even know whose name is on the account". Surprising but I disregarded it. The man I was speaking with then suggested a day and when I pointed out it was the 4th and that that was ok with me he switched the date but I could still hear the man in the background saying something about me. I said thank you and right before I hung up I heard one of the two men say something so crude and so disgusting and inappropriate about me that I won't repeat it here but I yelled into the phone that I could hear them at which time they hung up. I called back and not one of the cowards was willing to pick up the phone. Finally some poor guy from the back picked it up and told me that he didn't know who had answered the phone but that he would leave a message with the owner . I told him what had happened and that I don't blame him but that I needed to get a call back asap from the owner. In the meantime, I wrote an email to the address on their website to the owner. The following day I got an email back from the person who said those terrible things saying that he had been drinking at a party and shouldn't have said the things that he said and that he was sorry. He then told me that I would get a call from either him or the owner on the next workday which I promptly declined. I had heard more than enough and didn't care to have a conversation with either of these men. No surprise but I didn't get an email from the owner. He let his employee take the full blame and never reached out. The things he said were disgusting and inappropriate and even people who are drinking don't say those things unless they same them all the time. I believe that there is a culture at this business that allows this to happen. Other reviewers have complained about the rudeness at Evanston Glass and one woman of color suggested that people of color shouldn't use them. I will amend that to say that no one should patronize this business.

I gave these guys a glowing review after they made custom storms with screens for four of our windows. Then after a botched screen repair by a man on NextDoor, they were supposed to replace all the mesh for three large windows with gray mesh. That was 9 months ago. They did two correctly, but used black screen mesh on one of the screens, which looked very strange as the screens were right beside each other. They picked up the wrongly done screen nine months ago. I have called multiple times, no one ever calls me back. I finally got a live person five weeks ago. They sent someone over, supposedly with our screen, but it wasn’t ours. I had them take two small garage screens to repair with the promise that they would return that week. It’s been 5 weeks. Very upsetting. Not sure how to get our screens back.Services: Window screen repair

Broken window and because my windows are French I had a hard time finding someone to repair. The repair was reasonably priced and good quality.

They replaced a double pane window glass that had cracked. They were flexible working around the weather and did a great job. The workers were courteous, quick, and clean. One star deduction for the price.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I just can't say enough good things about this place, they were amazing responded on time. All other vendors were giving me way too high estimates for a glass replacement. Evanston glass gave a me a great estimate and they were able to come in 2 days and fix the glass the same day. Carlos was the handyman and he did a great job.Services: Window repair

Over the years I have had glass tops to table remade, screen doors repaired , shower doors installed as well as repaired . The owner as well as the staff are incredibly helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. This is a unique business that will forever have my loyality as well as my business.
