This was the most positive mechanic experience I've ever had. I went in to get my car inspeced because it was making some strange sounds. When the inspection was done I was asked to come out to the dock and look at the car. They pointed out exactly where the sound was coming from and how it would be repaired. ALSO they pointed out where a couple other sounds were coming from. So that when I was driving and i still heard other sounds I'd know that the car was still okay. They also showed me where a couple of small leaks were coming from and explained to me what would gradually happen as those leaks continue.
Even though I spent $500 +, I left feeling great. Needless to say I will definitely be returning to get those couple leaks fixed.

I had a nail in my tire this afternoon and I was so anxious about finding someone to help me fix it before my kids let out of school (and hubby was out of town). They were so gracious and helpful, what a relief, THANK YOU Doc Able’s! Thank God they took me right away and I was out of there so fast! The cost was more than fair! There are good people in this world.

Not happy, never again! (maybe I'll explain later in details, but I think they changed an expensive change that was not needed and my car has not gotten better after picking up. Actually, worse.

I initially took my new car to the dealership for maintenance to maintain the warranty. However, despite numerous visits, the same issues kept recurring; within a year, I had 30 service records. {In 4 different dealership services}
Frustrated, I decided to try Doc Able's Auto Clinic and what a difference it made! They not only fixed the recurring problem effectively but also assured me that using their service wouldn't void my warranty.
There was a bit of resistance from the dealership regarding the warranty issue, but once I showed them the relevant law, they backed down. I'm so grateful for the team at Doc Able's Auto Clinic that I'm planning to buy a new car soon and will exclusively use their services instead of the dealership's.

I had a tire that was not holding air. Called ahead of time to see if I need an appointment, Sarah was very helpful about indicating the best time to come in. I arrived at planned time got it plugged in less then 15min. Cost was $40.55.

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to get my car serviced here.My supervisor mentioned Doc Able's when I told her that I was looking for a mechanic. She told me that she and her husband had a good experience with them and mentioned that they honored the Wildcard discount. I followed up the same day to ask basic questions and for an estimate over the phone. When I told the man who answered that I already received a diagnostic for the warning code on my car, he mentioned that they will perform the service I request and replace the part but could not take responsibility if the service I requested did not fix the problem, which was fine. So then I asked how much it would be for them to perform a diagnostic on my car, he said $125. I then asked him if they were first come first serve or by appointment and he answered...again, all basic, run of the mill questions. Finally, I repeated my question about an estimate for the service. I asked him if he could give me a price for the service and parts because I might pick up the parts on my own. At that moment he responded, "I don't think we can help you. Thank you," and hung up on me...and I'm certain he hung up on me because I was in shock that he was ending the call and stayed on the phone in silence to see if he would actually hang up...and he did! I hadn't even responded to say "okay" or to ask a follow up question. This told me everything I needed to know about doing business with them. Clearly, he didn't want my business. Why, we'll never know because he hung on me without explaining. Clearly, he was okay with not offering a professional customer service experience. And hey, I get it. If business is that good that you can turn someone away for asking questions, great. But it is never a good sign when someone cannot offer the most basic customer service and professionalism. It is certainly a choice to be rude. The experience was quite off-putting and disappointing. Noted.

I needed immediate service to my auto as I had unwittingly and forgetfully hadn't paid much attention to it but the next day I needed to drive a good distance and was concerned that I had to find a an auto repair and service shop and hope it could get done by an auto repair shop quickly. At Doc Ables Auto Clinic as his staff attended to the service and early the next day I picked up my vehicle with the service completed for what I considered a very fair price and was on the road immediately!I feel confident that I have found an auto repair and service shop in Doc Able's Auto Clinic that I could count on to tell me in his straight forward manner what my vehicle needed and did not try to sell me up on something my car did not need! He and his staff are knowledgeable about car problems, are respectful, friendly, and helpful. I have no reservations about recommending Doc Able for when your vehicle needs service or repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Doc’s very quickly replaced a broken tire valve which had resulted in a flat. I also had them replace the remaining three valves “ just in case” 21 hours from drop off to pick up. Thanks!

Front desk lady is so rude, she refused to explain the process and finish a job in its entirety. A job they had already charged me twice for since they didn’t finish it properly the first time. I paid a ridiculous amount in labor and she acted like she did me a favor.

Doc Able's has taken care of my and my family's cars for years. I moved to Lincoln Square from Evanston and still intentionally go back so that Pete and the team can handle whatever the problem is. Prices are fair and they eve fail to get the job done.
