I get a focused, personal training session. I work with Jason and he is great. There is a good balance of challenge but also care in managing existing injuries. Jason is friendly, engaged, and cares about his clients. Highly recommend for a personalized experience.

The workout programs at your gym are top-notch. They featured a variety of exercises that targeted the different muscle groups I planned out with my trainer. It was a very well-rounded workout.4. The supportive environment has been invaluable. It's reassuring to know the trainers are just as committed as I am to help me through my fitness journey. Not only is it motivating, but it also helps me stay accountable.5. My trainer, Dietrich, has supported me through my health issues and has been a great source of encouragement. He has gone above and beyond to help me achieve my fitness goals from the very beginning. All the way from my diet to my workout plans, he has been there every step of the way.6. The cleanliness and maintenance of your gym facilities are second to none. I see that any equipment that is usedimmediately gets sanitized, and the gym shoe policy ensures that outside dirt doesn't get tracked in. At age 54, I started personal training sessions with Dietrich back in January of 2014 when I was going through insurmountable work stress and it was beginning to elevate my blood pressure and wreak havoc on my overall wellbeing. He got me in shape, but more importantly, I got into the habit of strength training in a way I had never done before. I feel great, and Dietrich makes it fun while challenging you.I am humbled that Dietrich will take on clients like me because he has so much experience and knowledge having been an award-winning body builder. For him, it is his passion to help people improve their health, at no matter what level. He and his training team are great. My husband and I also regularly share a weekly workout session with Jason, who is another excellent trainer. Spend the money for your health at D21 Fit!

I investigated D21 because I was looking for a way to lose weight, gain strength, feel healthier, and feel better about the way I look. Dietrich understood all of this right away through talking with me and assessing where I am in terms of fitness and strength. D21 has been a real godsend for me. The combination of regular workouts (for me, 3x/week for 1/2 hour) tailored to my personal condition, combined with guided attention to my nutritional intake, has been transformative for me. Dietrich likes to say fitness is a journey and we should all enjoy the ride. He (and Jason), through careful and thoughtful attention, expert knowledge, and good humor, have made caring for myself (physically) enjoyable and rewarding in a way I never thought possible. I highly recommend this gym and this great program.

I started working out with a personal trainer at D21 Fit Studio in September of 2022. I had some knee issues and was having a lot of pain. Jason, my trainer, made it easy to lift weights and find ways to build muscle without re-injuring myself. I used to have trouble walking one block, now I feel strong and feel very little pain in my knee and the results were almost immediate.

I have been working on fitness for many year so when my sister paid for the first month of personal training for me I didn’t have high hopes. 6months later I am still going strong. Dietrich helps push me, it’s easy to see my growth but it’s not so hard that I don’t want to come back for the next session. He he good at adapting to my moods and my needs. He helps me stay on track with my eating as well in a way that is approachable and sustainable. I lost 10lb and now think of myself and someone who works out regularly. I even consistently worked out on a recent vacation which is a first and Dietrich as right there with me. I highly recommend the program.Training for 2 update: (a year after the above post and still going strong)I wanted to add that I became pregnant and was able to keep training throughout my pregnancy. Dietrich clearly did research on what was and wasn’t optimal for pregnancy, we continued to meet over zoom. I was able to keep my weight gain within the recommended amount, and I’m not sure if this is because of the exercise but my post c-section recovery was a breeze.

I have been training with Dietrich Horsey since 2008. He ALWAYS keeps my workouts safe, challenging, and invigorating. He and his staff really get to know their clients, and they will be with you for the long haul! It is truly sustainable fitness for your lifestyle. No matter what your current fitness level, they will get you into it and loving it!

Exceptional 1:1 training and support. An abundance of outside support is provided, including a fitness app. Very well run and organized. Space is super clean.

It's the best place to work out in Evanston and Chicago. The workout program starts with an evaluation, and the subsequent training days are programmed to the individual based on that evaluation. I receive personal check ins by my trainer several times a week. D21 also did a re-eval to make sure I am seeing the results that are expected. The work outs are hard and challenging - but that's what I want. My trainer corrects bad form throughout the class, which only tells me that they care that I get the maximum results out of every exercise in every class. If you want a straight forward approach to reach your fitness goals, I recommend D21. Your health and strong body will appreciate that you made this investment in yourself.

I whole-heartedly recommend D21 Fit Studio – I’ve been seeing Dietrich individually for fitness sessions for several months and it is really helping me. I’m in my mid 50s and I noticed I needed some outside motivation, skill and focus to regain the physical strength and endurance that’s been slipping for quite a while. I had seen people coming in and out of his neighborhood studio for years, so I did some research and decided to give it a go. Dietrich let me know right away that his specialty is working with folks in my stage of life. He is an excellent trainer for me – warm, personable, friendly, encouraging. He also invites me to do things that are very challenging. Each workout has been an adventure, and I can see and feel the progress. Dietrich always finds ways to work around various injuries I’ve had before I started with him. I know I would never be able to get myself to do the things he has encouraged me to do, and I plan to invite friends/family to do small group classes with in the studio. He also takes nutrition very seriously and offers extensive help with this for those who want it. GIVE IT A TRY!

After many times trying to working out on my own and keep giving it up, I think I do need a coach to help me. So I reached out to Dietrich. He is very professional on each exercise design, always being patient and encourage me. He pays a lot of attentions to the details when I'm working out, correct each detail of the movement for me so that I can use the right muscle. Most importantly, he helped me to build up the habit to work out on certain times. I'm very grateful that I reached out to D21 studio.

I have been training with Dietrich for over a month now. Although challenging, I have enjoyed the workouts. He encourages and keeps me motivated during the workouts. He has also helped me improve my nutrition through meal plans. He is a great accountability coach and fitness trainer.

My parents were always very active, so fitness has been a part of my life since childhood. Over the decades, I struggled to keep it up on my own. When the pandemic began, I had to homeschool my young child and work full-time; I simply had no energy to exercise, and I eventually lost all motivation. I ended up gaining 30lbs, and at the end of 2021 I simply couldn’t look in the mirror without feeling disappointed. With my son back in school, and some extra money in my pocket from Christmas (thanks dad), I signed up for the 6-week Challenge at D21. Dietrich gave me a nutrition plan, and I trained with Jason 3 times a week. I’m now at the end of Week5 and have lost 13lbs. I feel stronger and healthier than ever before. The nutrition plan took some getting used to, especially because I LOVE food and was never concerned with portions before. Now, measuring portions and reading ingredients is second nature, and I always feel satisfied. Dietrich communicated with me regularly and the accountability was very helpful. As for Jason, I can’t sing his praises enough. Jason has taught me so much and always makes sure I’m doing things correctly and safely. He’s even coached me to be mindful of my negative self-talk. His workouts challenge and push me every single time, and I leave D21 feeling like a super hero. I’m very sad to say, that I can’t afford one-on-one training after my 6weeks is over. However, because of their training, I know I can keep up the nutrition and am motivated to keep exercising regularly. And, whenever I have extra money in my pocket again, I’m going back to D21.

I am currently training at the new location for D21 Fit Studio and I would have to say my experience has been pretty good and I’ve gotten results. They help monitor your eating and weight to keep you on track. Depending on what program you choose, it can be a little pricey but they have your best interest in mind and are willing to work with you to get you to your goals.
