I went to CVS in Evanston to buy a painkiller and eye drops. CVS had all the painkillers under lock, which made it inconvenient. I bought the CVS brand. The bill was for more than $60. A woman came to me and told me I could register at the CVS and get the promotions. I agreed. Then, she wanted me to enroll in the “extra care plus” membership, which has a monthly fee. I told her -no, I wouldn’t say I like this- when she finished the transaction, I realized she had put me in the program, so I called the 800 to cancel. A woman made me tell her all my information again, and instead of canceling, she told me to call in 30 minutes or go to the website. So I am charged for a membership I don't want, then I have to call to cancel and repeat all my info, and now I have to go online to cancel. What a lousy system to save a few dollars.

Just drove there to get a Moderna covid vaccination for which I had made an appointment just two days prior. Upon arrival, I was told that they were out of the vaccine, and all I got for the inconvenience was a curt little "sorry." I would think that because they had my email address, they could have informed me of the situation, thereby saving me a trip over there. It's never a good look when people who are filling prescriptions act like they aren't all that competent, or considerate.

Everytime I go in here past 8 pm your staff makes people use self checkout. Today I was told you guys aren't taking customers but I always have issues with your self check out taking cash. I always preferred Walgreens but you guys are closer. I will be traveling further to now because there's always an issue. Also that old lady with brown hair night shift is so extremely rude. It's obvious she doesn't like her job. But next time one of your employees talks to me like that it's being recorded and posted on tiktok

I am visibly disabled but I can do most things on my own. I spent a couple hours in urgent care right before coming here and I was at self checkout and machine started beeping bc it had asked me to put my backpack on the scale as 'I brought my own bag' but came up with an error and needed a team member to clear the error. I even took my bag off the scale but the error message was still up. The team member (some white dude in his 30s-40s) comes over and gives me a long lecture about how to ring up items and where to place my bag as if I've never gone shopping before. Then he decided to get in my space and start ringing up the four items I had FOR ME despite me telling him repeatedly that I can do it, please let me do it and he ignored me/brushed it off. He even started trying to put in my phone number and stuff for me as if teaching me how to use self check out. It was super patronizing and I felt extremely humiliated and uncomfortable. You'd think a pharmacy would be more understanding of how to help disabled people instead of treating us like we're helpless. I used to get my prescriptions at the Walgreens on Chicago but wanted something closer. I think I'm going to switch back.

I am speaking up for an elderly Hispanic grandmother who had an accent. With the plastic COVID barrier, her mask, and her soft voice, the pharmacist quickly lost his temper, culminating in him yelling "I don't have time for this!" This pharmacist could have handled this is so many other professional ways. We do not need this pharmacist in my community any longer. Please discipline and transfer this pharmacist. He is the pharmacist on duty today, June 6, 2022 in downtown Evanston at 1711 Sherman Avenue. Please provide an apology and the email address to the district manager. Shame on you, CVS.

The manager of this place was pretty condescending to his employee. And the employee was a pretty nice guy to me. Very helpful. Then the manager comes out from the back and is condescending and a bit rude to him. Doesn't make me want to go back. Treat your employees better.

There’s a white dude (kinda old) that was working there on April 25 after 6:30pm being extremely rude to all of poc customers. I saw him giving attitude to this young black man asking for assistance. He started attacking my boyfriend and I for the products we bought & humiliated us in front of other customers. Terrible person.
