This store was very clean and well-organized. However, they only had women's clothing, and the prices were a bit expensive for used items. I would come back to see if next time they had more things that were my style. The people working were very friendly.

I love that all of the store's sales support our local domestic violence organization. It's definitely pricier than a lot of thrift/consignment shops, but your dollars are going to a great cause. Plus, you can find great scores: I just picked up a vintage, limited edition designer blouse with an incredible print for only $24. Last but not least, the volunteer staff is lovely and helpful.

Crowded Closet is a non-profit owned by the YWCA of Evanston since 2020 and changed its name to Shop for Good Evanston in September 2023. The store offers fabulous prices on upscale women's clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful. They are always getting great items in daily. I think it's the best thrift shop in the area.

This store was very clean and well-organized. However, they only had women's clothing, and the prices were a bit expensive for used items. I would come back to see if next time they had more things that were my style. The people working were very friendly.

Used to be "crowded" with fun items and a laid back atmosphere. Now it is cold, has a lot less inventory and doesn't have what I would be looking for. Consigning was very awkward - not friendly at all. Crossroads Trading is a much better place for consigning and shopping in Evanston, in my opinion.

Love this store. Good selection of clothes that would be hard to find elsewhere-- pre worn by the ladies that lunch, leftovers from local designers, mid level and higher end brands with the potential for treasure. We picked up a red Coach handbag in perfect condition, a vintage leather button up car coat, and newer high-end ankle slit back jeans. Each at or under $50. Staff is lovely and clearly enjoy helping customers with the hunt.

I used to love this place, but upon visiting the new location, was so disappointed. Seemed like there was less inventory. The shoe section especially disappointing.

I remember this store years ago when they had lovely ladies working there. Prices could be a little high, but I found many great bargains, especially boots and skirts. It saddens me that it has received so many uncomplimentary reviews. I was given a gift certificate for there, better use it before it expires. I'll write another review and let you know what I think now.
