Chose Coffey brothers based on the reviews. First they loaded the container very loosely, so I ended up being charged for a full container when in reality I needed less than half a container. Second, because items were loose, many of the items were broken including the TV.

Horrible experience. Moved from Weeki Wachee to Tampa. They sent to guys that didn't have correct stuff to move furniture. Supposed to arrive at 8 am arrived at 1230 pm. The move to Seminole took until 1030 pm. I finally had Ti kick them out of my house. Lots of luck with these guys. Oh ya the over charge was for an additional $1200 for the move. Never again. Run!

Damaged my furniture, door walls all scratched up.Did not take any precautions when moving my furniture. All they cared about was their payment. They also tracked mud from the dolly on my hardwood flooring!Very unprofessional

Would not even like to give one star. Very unprofessional. Showed up 3 hours late with half the crew they said was coming. My dad and I moved a third of the load to the truck before they even showed up. A few movers filtered in and out throughout the process. They stole personal belongings, money, and damaged a good amount of other goods. We tipped them well even. Stay away from these crooks

Some loser named Bob who works at Coffey Moving is a real jerk. I asked for a quote and when I followed up to get it a week later he got very angry and swearing. This guy seems unstable - I would not want him doing my move.

Overall very positive experience. Communication was great. Movers were very polite and careful with my belongings. Wrapped everything. Truck was clean. Would use this company again.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Movers showed up 3+ hours late and there was zero communication from dispatcher. I get things happen but it's the ZERO communication was unacceptable. I kept calling and calling and when I did get an answer I was promised a call back and then no one called back. My movers around after 7pm, my window was 2-4pm. I was not moved into my new unit until midnight. On top of that I had a broken TV amongst other items getting beat up. It was clear the movers were extremely high and reeked of marijuana - if you read other reviews lots of customers seem to have this experience. The only positive I'll give is that the movers on the job were courteous and polite, felt bad for them because they're clearly overworked. Overall Just an all around horrible experience.

I had a terrible experience with this moving company. First let me start with I've done 7 professional moves with Mayflower, Graebel, and Allied. Never in the 7 professional moves and the 4 times I've used 2 men and a truck have a had a driver tell me he is a coke head. YES!! You read that right!! This guy came into my home, made himself super comfortable laying his stuff on top of our furniture. Tells me the estimate is wrong and they need to charge me extra before the work has even started. The young black boy working with them was berated every five minutes and the coke head guy had to stop everything and yell at him making the move longer. He also got involved in my husband and I conversations trying to play marriage counseling when he was the main reason that we were fighting with each other. There was the creepy obsession with my dog. Imagine having a 13 week old teddy bear puppy and this guy isn't working but trying to use all her squeaky toys to go to him. Fine whatever maybe I'm overreacting but then he proceeded to leave his two litter bottle of RC cola on my fine dining table making it sticky. He threaten me with a made up cleaning for fees, which I read my contract, and what he was saying I was gonna be fined for had nothing to do with what he was claiming was stated in the contract. Then proceeded to tell us how his friends called him up and asked him if he wanted to build a snowman in July. He then tried to charge us for wardrobe boxes we never used. I spent the last remaining hour hiding in my closet with my dog.The drop off wasn't as terrible, coke head wasn't there but we tipped and they didn't even put things where I asked. I specifically asked them to put a rug in the basement never made it to the basement. I asked them to put Christmas decoration in the basement never made it down there, and I basically had to move the TV into the living room because they put artwork in the living room saying it was the TV. I don't know what the I paid $3300 for.

The moving company damaged our furniture badly. Lied about the originally quote. wWhen it came time to deliver our furniture the moving company stated they would not unload our property unless we paid a lump some of 8,000 dollars. They did not complete the move or even finish unloading our storage unit. The storage unit was less than a mile away from our new home. The owner stated he had a lean on my furniture like a tow trucking company. The company is dishonest and so are the reviews. I hope this review helps other from being scammed. They are not located in Chicago and are reporting a false address. They location where they are is 9901 Derby Ln Winchester, IL Their have been several police reports filed against this company as well.

My recent experience with this moving company was extremely disappointing. Not only did they crack my $180 computer case I've loved since I got it in May of 2014 during the move, but they were also unable to disassemble my bed due to their lack of standard tools. This resulted in them stripping one of the hex screws on my bed, which will require a lot of effort to remove. To add to the frustration, they lost one of the bed legs during the move, leaving me unable to find a replacement and forcing me to replace the entire bed at an unexpected cost.I've never left a negative review of a company and frankly it makes me uncomfortable to do so. I've spent days searching every inch the my apartment in the hopes I'd find it and not have to post this review. But the disappointment didn't stop there. Just two days later, my brother used the same company and also had a negative experience. As someone who was there with him, I can confirm that the movers appeared to be under the influence of marijuana, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and unprofessional. They also smelled strongly of marijuana, which only added to our discomfort. This means that out of the two moves that our family completed with this company in the span of three days, both were problematic.Given the problems we experienced in both moves over the span of just three days, I highly recommend avoiding this moving company if you can. However, if you do decide to use them, make sure to purchase the maximum amount of insurance possible to protect yourself from any damages that may occur during the move.

So let's start with the positive and calling to schedule movers. The person that answered the phone was very friendly, very knowledgeable or so. It seemed and very helpful now let's jump forward to the move date. The movers got there. They were very goofy didn't seem too serious they reeked of weed and one of the movers spent majority of the time on the truck on the phone arguing with a girlfriend, leaving the other two to work alone and I know you might ask how do I know he's on the phone with a girlfriend because the other movers told us so. Well, the movers were very friendly they didn't really take the job. Seriously a bunch of things got damaged which we weren't too worried about because we purchased the extra insurance things went South when we try to file a claim to be reimbursed for the damaged items, and everything was denied, I was told that it was normal wear and tear. However, this furniture is brand new it was just purchased within a year has never moved. Locations has only been in that one apartment so the damage was caused by these movers. However, the company did not take ownership and they completely stopped replying to my emails. I do not recommend.Oh, and for the record, there are only two adults in the household no children no pets

Sadly horrible experience. I paid for full packing, every item, and a move within Chicago. The packers didn't take much care when packing kitchen items [bottles open and leaking, a container of honey that that literally had an opening for a spoon, just roller in paper. The next day the same crew moved me quickly - i will say they work fast! no boxes were numbered, so we had no list to make sure I got everything.About 2 weeks later [i was recovering from covid so took a minute] I realized I'm missing a piece of art my mother bequeathed. Sales referred me to claims - I'm on my 3rd email in 2 weeks to claims and literally zero answer. I stupidly used Venmo to save on their ridiculous CC fees, so now I cannot do anything about this but hope that they will rectify. Not likely.

The guys worked so hard on my move . I wish I could give them more stars. They moved my stuff into storage because my new home won't be ready until Feb. I asked if I can get the same guys who moved me out to move me into the new one when ready.

tl;dr: Coffey Bros started a move today, mid-move claimed they didn't have payment info, then stopped working and ran up the clock to the tune of $500 in added costs while they waited for me to respond to an email they sent four hours into the move saying they were missing payment info. They refused to unload our belongings until we made instantaneous payment and every few minutes the amount increased by large sums. Edit: I transposed two numbers in the original quote- we were quoted $2520 rather than $2250. This changes the amount of overcharge but not experience as a whole. Longer version: I'm the president of an HOA, and one unit was having work done as a result of flooding damage the association was financially responsible for. In order to complete the work, everything in the unit needed to temporarily go into storage. We contacted Coffey Bros to schedule the move, they provided a quote, and we worked with insurance to make sue the quote would be approved as part of the claim. I called on Monday to make the initial deposit via our association debit card with Cristian. While on the phone, I asked if he needed anything else for the balance due on the day of the move, and he confirmed that they could simply charge the same debit card on the day of the move, that nothing else would be needed. I made sure he had both my phone number and email address on file before hanging up. Today apparently they arrived at 9:30 to start the move. They packed up all the belongings and drove to the storage unit. At 1:17, they emailed me and said they had "been trying to reach me" regarding billing and that I should call the office "at my earliest convenience." It is unclear what they meant by "trying to reach me," as they did not call me at all since the day I made the deposit, nor did they send any emails. Apparently at the same time, the resident was at the storage unit signing paperwork for the unit, and the first he learned of any payment issue was when he came back outside from signing paperwork and found the crew sitting around, at about 1:15, right around when they emailed me. My job does not allow the flexibility to constantly monitor email nor instantaneously return phone calls. Nevertheless, I called the dispatch team back at 1:41--not even 25 minutes later--and I was told they were busy and would need to return my call, so I responded to the email providing my phone number and verifying I had completed the online credit card authorization form. At 1:54, Taylor called me back and said I had to make immediate payment and we were already being charged two hours extra for keeping them waiting--$500 above the $2500 initially quoted--but only 26 minutes lapsed from when they first attempted to contact me and when I responded to them, and they had only arrived at the job 4.5 hours prior. Taylor then added on there was no way for them to charge the debit card they had on file because it wasn't physically there with them, so we'd have to use Zelle instead. I explained I didn't have access to our Zelle account and asked if they could start unloading while I contacted the treasurer (the only one with access to Zelle), but he said they absolutely couldn't start unloading at the storage unit without the money. It took me about 20 minutes for our treasurer to be available, by which point they said we owed more, and every minute we delayed payment would add onto the expense-- even though she was trying to clarify with them why we couldn't send the amount initially quoted as a good faith gesture while we sorted this out. Taylor hung up on the treasurer because he said he had another call coming in, and he waited to send her the Zelle info until after he was off the second call, adding MORE time to the clock. I made every attempt to clarify in advance what was needed for payment to ensure there would be no issues, and I was intentionally misled. I understand the contract outlined they would do this if we did not pay, but Cristian told me several days before the move that we had d
