The gentleman that owns a place is very nice, personable, and wonderful.
I don't know if it's the most affordable, however, I'm happy with the quality of work and the price I paid. I found it fair.

I got great service and they just became my favorite bike shop! I took in my recently acquired used hybrid and they did a super tune-up and the bike just hums. They took the time to adjust and fit the bike to me. I bought some new pedals and they spent a lot of time and effort to replace the cleats on my shoes. Alex and Cecelia are personable and wonderful!

Had an awesome experience with Bucephalus! They got my bike back to tip top shape and really took time to help me work through what I needed. They special ordered parts for me and provided excellent service at every turn. Highly recommend!

One of the best bike shop experiences I’ve had. The owner did a great job fixing my bike and he took the time to explain the issue. I wish they were closer to where I live because I would use them exclusively.

as others have implied, the guy that runs this place is the rudest, most illogical Guy you'll encounter. He'll only work on your bike if he feels like it, Even when calling in advance. waste your time at your own risk..

I normally do not like leaving bad reviews for small businesses but the pricing this guy was trying to charge me to remove four bolts , which would have taken 5 minutes was 50$. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Rude mechanic . I grew up in Evanston and this isn’t the vibe that we go for. Would go elsewhere.

Wonderful neighborhood bike repair shop. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended. And they sell refurbished bikes as well!

"We stand by our work."
These are words you can trust when they come from your local, independent, family-owned bike shop. After getting burned with a used bike purchase from a globo-tech marketplace, I had to start at square one to secure new wheels. I wandered into Bucephalus and was excited to see they had several refurbished bikes in my size.
I ended up with exactly what I wanted. Even better, I had a wonderful chat with the owner, and of course they said they would take care of any issues that might pop up.
Yet another reminder that small businesses are worth it!

Hello All, Alex was very helpful and fast with service. He was very patience. He explained to me why my crank on my bike has malfunctioned. He went into detail on the best option I shall take. This made me feel great. I didn't feel as if I was a just another number. This is great customer service. Also, he called me on the phone to let me know my bike was fixed before the time he expected. Thank you Alex.
I really like this shop. It was my first time going. It didn't take time to be serviced. I will be returning for tune-ups in the future.

Not a pleasant experience either of the times I’ve been here. Tried to see if they could help me service a bike I bought online and the man there said he can’t work on them. When I asked why he said they’re too much work and he’s got bikes he’d rather work on, which isn’t “can’t work on this bike” that’s “won’t work on this bike”. I’m a small business owner and I also don’t like when people shop online instead of coming in but I always encourage my customers to come in for expert customer service because that’s how you get those online shoppers to come in more. I don’t feel encouraged to come back here, especially because my first time here i signed up for a order list for bikes during Covid (due to supply and demand issues, not a problem) and never received a call back, which is exactly why I bought a bike online. I don’t want to leave a 1 star because I don’t know the quality of their actual service but their customer service needs attention. And just a heads up to anyone who buys a bike online, don’t come here.
