Outstanding locally owned, independent bookstore. A terrific community institution with great selection. Staff recommendations are truly excellent and will lead you to books beyond the best seller lists. Everything a local book shop should be. Worth your support.

There is a large variety of artists represented in this space. There's plenty of jewelry, clothing, paintings and more. These cute mosaic trays caught my eye. I didn't get one but I bought a few pairs of earrings for gifts and a t-shirt.
After 8 years in Bookman's Alley, Bookends & Beginnings relocated in February 2023 to 1620 Orrington Avenue. We took our cozy atmosphere, welcoming vibe, friendly staffers, and fantastically rich selection of new and used books for adults and kids, plus lots of clever gifts and stationery items. Visit our MiniBar for cocktails, wine, beer, and snacks on Friday and Saturday evenings, or attend one of our frequent literary events!
