I rented a car by late February for 2 days. Everything happened extremely well. I gave the car back on time and the check out was fine. The guy inspected the car carefully and sent us the report and receipt. Nothing to declare. So far I was satisfied with my experience. Today I am receiving 2 weeks after gaving the car back a letter letting me know that i will be charged of $450 fee for a "smell smoke" in the car!!! My partner and I do NOT SMOKE!!! Is it Avis original strategy to extort money from customers??? I will never go back!!!

I wish I could leave 0 stars Dante was completely unprofessional and bob had no idea what he was doing, he was getting aggravated with me for completing the steps online that were sent to me via email. They had me fill out everything online and put a card on file and couldn’t even process my reservation. They called me prior to make sure I filled out everything online and to make sure I was going to show up. When I got to Avis I didn’t have my physical card and Dante just cancelled my reservation on the spot without a chance to change the card on file or anything. After reading the reviews on this store I’m glad they didn’t use my card. It seems like everyone that comes here has issues. I’ll be taking my business somewhere else

They lied about the gas and charged me with an extra $40. And to top it off, the car had trash in it when they handed it to me. Pretty annoying.

THIS IS THE WORST RENTAL PLACE IN CHICAGO. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. THEY'RE RUDE, HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, AND THEY WILL CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION ON YOU RANDOMLY. After asking around, I've received confirmation from 3 other friends in the city that have used this location and they are the most UNRELIABLE business around when it comes to rentals. If you can, go ANYWHERE else.

I rented a car from them for business and it had an accident while it was parked, meaning it was not my fault. They treated me inappropriately without any respect, and they lied to me in the office, they said you do not have to pay any fees, because I paid for an additional insurance, and after I left, they took fees for an additional 8 days from my account, and when I confronted them, they said go to your bank and dispute the transaction and tell them to return the amount, and when I did, they lied to the bank and refused to return it.Avis is the worst place to rent a car from ?????

I rented from this place twice. Both times I had a 5/5 experience. Bob and Dante provided great customer service. The other reviewers I feel like are fake. I’ve called multiple times and Bob has answered quickly. Clean cars. About 25% cheaper than Enterprise.

The gentleman at the store was very welcoming. I had a few questions before renting since. He explained everything very diligently and also helped me with insurance plans. The car given was also in good condition and the return process was seamless too.I rate this renting experience as one of the best renting experiences in the US.

Reserved a Tesla, the car was charged at 29% when I arrived and Avis told me I had to drive 40 minutes to the nearest charging station. They also required I come back with my passport because my State Issued "Real ID" Drivers License wasn't being accepted in their system. After I cancelled the reservation, they charged me $50 for a "no-show". 0/10 recommend to not use. Go to Enterprise.

Not even worth a 1 star.Save your time and money. If want to ruin your credit cards this is the way to do it. Both workers and terrible and very unclear and not upfront with Uber/ regular rentals through Avis. Whatever you do online or on the app does not match up with what they say and do in person. Not will to work with you or help you resolve any issues. I can not stress enough DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARDS TO THESE GUYS. But if you do, best of luck to you.Horrible experience.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The location has garbage customer service!!! Waited in line for 30 minutes and watched the service agent be rude and speak down to everyone in front of me. When it was my turn, I found out there were no cars available for rental at this location nor the location nearby. I did not get an email notifying me that they were overbooked. They do not pay attention to their online rental portal and should have turned off reservations for the day. On top of that I had to call customer service myself to cancel my order. Save your time and rent from somewhere else.

Pick-up and drop-off were both very quick and went super smoothly. The people on staff during both my visits were friendly and helpful. And the car they had for me (Chevy Equinox) was a high-end model and was super clean. Would recommend!

This is our go to car rental spot. They try very hard to accommodate. When I book on line, I usually try to do it 48 hours in advance, as once I booked on line same day , and on my way there the guy called to tell me there was no car available at that location, which I considered very good personalized service.

I've got to say that my experience at this store was the opposite of the bad reviews. I rented a car this afternoon, and the two guys running the show were polite, friendly, and professional. The process was quick, and the car they rented me was clean, and in good condition. After a terrible experience at the Avis desk in the Albuquerque airport last year, I decided to give Avis another shot, and they came through for me. Well done, guys!
