Great experience, great book selection. If you want the experience of your life talk to Amaranth in the back of the store and bring a jar of lube ;) p.s. use code word happy ending to redeem offer

Impeccably curated. Reasonable prices. My favorite used bookstore in Chicago by far.

Great prices and a surprising number of rare books. The signed works of Theodore H. White for $20! Was really impressed with my time here and look forward to returning

This is the best bookstore in Evanston. There's a good selection of books at a reasonable price. I only wish they had more hours.

This is a great used and out of print bookstore! like all of the good ones, you never know what you may find. I cannot recommend this store enough. The gentleman who runs the store is a class act.

Woah! Such a cool, hidden little bookstore with an eccentric collection of used titles. Paid $15 for 4 books in good condition

There are not enough good things to be said about this store or the gentleman who runs it. Chock-full of treasures at more than fair prices, with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere that actively encourages extended time browsing. This is easily one of the Chicago book community's last great hidden gems.

Great selection of books and everything I saw was priced really well! There are even a $1, $2, $3 shelves when you first walk in. On those shelves I found a copy of Humans of New York and Dante’s Inferno illustrated both is perfect condition!Highly recommend checking this place out!

The best type of used bookstore: all high-quality, clean and tight bindings, most surely with but one owner; and prices that are not just fair but compelling. A smaller shop but with a large literature section in proportion to its size, and a great selection of art books. Its proximity to a great international university helps. I've spent a lifetime visiting bookshops from Boston and the Village to Berkeley and Oakland to here in Chicago, to London and La Cienaga in Los Angeles. The heyday of great used bookshops is over but some fine examples with dedicated owners endure. This is one. Treat yourself. You won't be disappointed.

We called ahead and found out the shop was open on Sunday. The shop was very clean and well maintained. We spent about an hour browsing through all the books. Theres a good amount of classical literature and great variety in non-fiction. The theology and US War sections were the largest for non fiction. I didn't find any foreign language books or Italian history books. Prices are very affordable. I got three books under 20! There's also $3, $2, and $1 shelves but I didn't find anything for me on them.
