This doesn't even deserve a star. When I went to buy phones, they treated me like I was the best, and today, when I went to get my screen protector warranty replaced, they treated me like I was trying to rob the store. They were rude and showed no interest in helping me. I had to wait for almost two hours. It was horrible. I'm leaving Verizon

I hate Verizon! I need to change my CC for auto pay since the last one was hacked. The auto service said they will send a confirmation box to check to verify my info. 3 calls, never sent a text and there is no other number to call! Time to move. But ATT service is extremely poor in our area, continuously dropped calls.
I went to the Verizon store in Elmhurst, IL after spending an hour online trying to change my CC number on Verizon's auto pay (old number was stolen). He told me he couldn't access my account and didn't like that I was frustrated and told me to calm down a half dozen times then told me to leave. I own several businesses. I would have fired the employee treating someone the same way I was treated. People get irritated and upset at online systems, we know that or should know that (Verizon's call center doesn't allow for personal attention, another story) but managers need to know how to de-arm frustrated customers and listen to them, not push them out the door because they are frustrated. It just makes it worse.

First and foremost just switched from tmobile to Verizon today. Left tmobile for their terrible customer service and overall horrible service. Was told to come in to this corporate store for assistance that they refuse to give without explanation. Returned within an hour to pick up two phones only to be disrespected and shown unprofessionalism by the so called manager in a grey sweater. When asked what color the phone is being displayed none of the employees could answer the question except for 1 who said white. However there is no white. It turned out it was yellow. As told by the rude unprofessional manager who insulted both me and my brother by saying you can't read and directed us to a display with the colors something he didn't do in the beginning. The security guard then stepped in but instead of diffusing the situation threatened to beat me up. As he attempted to escort us out. The beautiful part of this is the original person helping us over the phone a Verizon sales agent was hearing all this and will be helping me escalate this thru Verizon higher up management. She heard his comments and his unprofessional attitude and his disrespectful comments. Both need to be fired especially if these things were recorded.

Terrible experience -we were ready to buy two iPhone 16 Pros - we saw them in the sales clerk’s hands but their system would not allow trade-ins even though our account clearly shows them as being five years old and trade-in eligible. Save yourself the aggravation and aggressive sales pitches and do the transaction online.

I visited this location to upgrade my phone. The employee explained that I needed to enroll in a $19.99 protection plan to activate the promotion for the upgrade but assured me I could cancel it anytime. He mentioned this was a requirement. Feeling unsure about the situation, I left and I decided to place the order through the app instead—and didn’t have to pay any additional fees or add-ons to qualify for the promotion. The employee at this location was misleading.

I went to the Verizon store located on Saint Charles Rd in Elmhurst Illinois and I have to say that they have terrible customer service. At this precise store I wanted to get my phone issues fixed and the manager was incredibly rude responding that there was nothing he could do, that my options were use my old phone (which I had traded in for this new one or return the new phone and be without one. He was not helpful at all, very dismissive, he didn't even make an effort to help me. He pretty much said tough luck. Recently the customer service has made me reconsider being a client of Verizon for around 20+ years!

I had a terrible experience at the Verizon store in Elmhurst, IL. Upon arriving, I had to register with the person at the door, explaining that I needed help because I was not getting anywhere with technical support over the phone. After waiting 30 minutes, someone finally assisted me, only to tell me they couldn't help and that I needed to call technical support again! This is the exact reason I came to the store in the first place. I’m extremely frustrated with Verizon's customer service—it’s been awful, both in-store and over the phone. For the prices Verizon charges, I expect much better service than this.

Bad customer experience went there to see if I can get a number back for my work that had a two factor linked to it. She asked how long has it been out of service I said a “few months” and that it was already recycled basically, but the number still showed on my app and that I could purchase the service again. So I left and decided to just say screw it and repurchased the service when she said it would just error out then change the number, then what do you know it worked with no error so I called the customer service headquarters and they told me that it was still good and can even be transferred to a new phone so I just did it through them and bought a quick phone a target. Thanks for nothing Verizon @ Elmhurst!!!! Ps she said it was 2 months then it gets recycled when it’s actually 3 months. Simple search on google got me the right answer when your employee couldn’t.

It all started 08-10-2024 when we went into the store to change service to Verizon. Adrian was the employee who greeted us when we entered the store. After going over service plans and choosing phones it turns out that they did not have the phones we wanted in stock so they needed to ship to us and we could return. Whatever not the biggest of deals but we'd already spent about 45mins in the store and would have liked to complete swap at that time. Made appointment with Adrian for the next Saturday. Phones arrived on Tuesday and we returned 08-17-2024. Adrian began the process and swapped our kids 2 phones which they kept and our 2 new phones over to Verizon service. After being there for 1.75 hours and transferring data from the 2 old phones to the 2 new phones he tells us that service might not be available until 7pm for my kids 2 phones and 11pm for my wife and my phones, it is 1:45pm at this time. My wife is a medical professional who needs her phone to take patient calls. We're pretty disappointed but it is what it is. What can we do, nothing. My wife's phone got service at about 5pm and my phone got service about 6:30pm which was actually ahead of schedule. My kids 2 phones never regained service. So now we had to go back into the store for another 2 hours until they were able to restore service to my kids 2 phones.

There’s a reason this store has an awful rating and I just experienced it. Wow. Zero customer service. Maybe you should pay your employees a little bit more so that they don’t have to be commission hungry at a cell phone store. Ridiculous that they don’t want to help you with setting up a new watch (that was PURCHASED THROUGH YOU) unless you’re buying something because they “have to be off the floor.” That’s not MY problem. Also not something you want to be sharing with customers. Oh and also train your people how to speak to customers.

Absolutely no customer service! They will not even look at your phone! I ended up in Yorktown where they helped me replace one phone using my insurance, backed up another onto a USB and I upgraded a phone. Yes, indeed I purchased a new phone for one of my lines. Highly recommend any store but the Elmhurst location.

Always an issue when coming to this location. I never came here once and got my issue solved or question answered. The only person that is competent and helpful is business accounts representative.
