Rory can be relied upon for quality. I've been working with him for 20 years on anything from resoles to conditioning and I've never had any issues. He knows exactly what needs to be done and tells you upfront what you're looking at. I won't go anywhere else.

My wife took in some LV slides that had a really long strap. I brought them in and they cut them from the side (i don't know his secrets on how he did it), but I do know that it looks like the shoe was never touched. They look great! I've also brought other shoes to him to do slight repairs to and be has been great to work with.

I took my wedding shoes to get stretched. Not only did they fit perfectly when I picked them up, the owner was super knowledgeable and nice! Would definitely recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE!! Never open as posted. He didn't complete the repair by the original date, nor notify me. Every time its a different excuse. Horrible service & worst shoe repair possible. The repairman agreed to replace the zipper but he didn't. He merely sewed up the bottom part of the zipper. Nor did he make the other repair discussed. He's more concerned about where I bought the shoes & gossiping with other customers. Went to pick up my shoes over 5x only its closed, no notice posted. $25 for horrible service & repair! Don't waste your time or money.

Awesome old school shoemaker. I had swing dance shoes that needed emergency repair for a performance at the Old Town School of Folk Music Nut Tapper show. I came from out of town so I was really in a pinch. Shoemaker Shop of Elmhurst saved me. My dance partner and I thank you. Great job!!!

Just needed to try to stretch a pair shoe that cut across my bunion. I was told it wasn't really going to help much because they were mot leather. I do think they were stretched a bit and the shoe was bearable and I left on from 2 in the afternoon til 12:30 for a wedding! I like the location in DT LaGrange and will refer others!

This place is awesome! They repaired a pair of birkenstocks that my dog chewed up. You can't even tell they were ever damaged! I am over the moon since they were my favorite shoes. They also have a great selection of stylish, high quality shoes. I am planning on buying a pair of heels there for a wedding in October. My podiatrist is going to be so happy!

Don’t trust posted store hours. Never open on time. The Mom and Pop view can only go so far. It will distract from whatever service view customers have. As opening on time is a part of customer service.
