I was buying a used car from a classic car dealer last week. To be sure I wasn't being scammed, I contacted Lakeside bank to verify the routing number as well as the final 6-digits of the account number. I was fortunate to get one of the bank VP's on the line (Roxanne Rain) and she was ultra helpful at helping me verify that MGM Classic Cars was legit, that the bank info was legit and she even checked their Illinois business registration while we spoke to verify they were a legit business. I hung up with Roxanne and immediately wired the money to the business. Roxanne is awesome, thanks so much Roxanne! I now have my 1987 Mustang GT here in NJ... :)

I am so disappointed this bank service. I contacted the bank's person named K wang because I needed a mortgage. When I first asked her about the mortgage, she said that my situation was acceptable, so I scanned the personal information to her. After I sent her an email for several days, there was no news, so I called her several times, but she didn't answer or call me back. I sent her few times message to call me back, but still did not receive a reply from her. So I switched to another phone and called her. Of course , she answered the phone. When I told me who it was, she said impatiently that I could not get a loan and then hung up the phone immediately. I didn't have a chance to talk to her. Her attitude is very bad and rude. I am very disappointed with the service attitude of this bank. Her name is K wang. She can speak Chinese.

I am an independent real estate appraiser for nearly 40-years. I performed appraisals for Lakeside beginning in the early 80's and continued up until about 15-years ago. During that time there were many occasions when I would receive a "rush" order because someone at Lakeside had messed up - forgotten to order the appraisal. When I contacted the borrower they were sometimes very irate and I would attempt to cover for and to smoothe things over to make Lakeside look good. Many is the time I completed an appraisal the same day it was ordered - at no extra charge. Things started to go bad when I was asked by a relative of the then-chairman, to perform a review appraisal for the bank. I completed the review and sent my invoice, as usual, and then received an angry call from the relative who disputed my fee as inappropriate. Really? Do you work for free? Later, they hired a "review appraiser" who, in fact, was not an appraiser at all. That fact was not lost on me and I pointed out to management that individual was unqualified to offer an opinion on anything other than the time of day. He made unfounded comments about some of my reports. When I declined to "adjust" my reports I started to receive threatening calls from Lakeside's attorney regarding those appraisals. I suggested they file a complaint. They never did. Not long ago I saw that Lakeside was advertising for an in-house review appraiser, a position for which I am well-qualified. I was rejected by management because I was "difficult to work with."

After witnessing Supervisor Angela's leadership skills I was not impressed. She was degrading to an employee so badly I felt the need to remove my account from that Bank. She really needs to work on her professionalism. Maybe attend charm school.

Great service and great bank. I've went to open checking account there as they advertise 2% yield Kasasa account. I only hope they keep building on a strong start, as they've recently opened doors for business.
