Longtime customer. Had a delay reaching Dr. to refill high blood pressure meds (necessary). Said over phone they could loan me a couple of pills till Dr. Is reached. Got there, and the answer was changed to no. Didn't like the way I look? Interesting. Will be switching to Walgreens.

I spent almost two hours practicing my conflict style (The Thomas-Kilmann conflict mode Instrument) at this pharmacy. After being refused my medication for the correct price my insurance verified, I was still turned away almost six times. I purposely went and grabbed a buggy and so I wouldn't have to stand in line considering my vertebrae was shattered when I was a pedestrian. I thought that my tenacity would pay off however after almost 2 hours I broke. The medications I take are specifically to stabilize my mood.It sounded like I was at a bar while I was in line for my medication on Wednesday night. The only person manning the line was a young person, poor thing. Her co-workers left her to hang while each person in line had to wait up to 30 minutes before getting called to pick up their scripts also, I think she was new.The long line also blocks the entire aisle making it cumbersome for shoppers not using the pharmacy. Another customer and I agreed the service was unusually lengthy as we both sat in our chairs and buggy’s patiently waiting. When I got home I transferred my script to the Schiller location which had no problem honoring the correct price my insurance had verified just hours; the same insurance that the York location refused six times. I included a few photos for clarity although they may not post per Google rules.Sadly, my prescription was sent back to York for reasons unbeknownst to me.I had written a review the day of the incident but deleted because I don't like being angry, nor do I hold to anger. Matter a fact I was at the Jewel the following day ordering Starbucks and politely leaving.Today, according to the pharmacy tech on York, they must contact the doctor first for my prescription. I know that is not true because I was looking at the script online that I had set it up for delivery since the 19th like the picture shows below. Jewel Osco website would've never given me the option to have my medication delivered if the doctor needed to be contacted; I have three refills. Currently, the script number can't be found on my profile. Also, when I called l today the 22nd they transferred me to a store manager who said he has me on tape. I hope in the tape he saw just how much tenacity I had the evening I was there. I hopped in and out of line to prevent the people from being held up. I wasn't the only who got a chair, or a buggy that's how long the wait was. I'm not sure what the purpose was in telling me he has me on tape. It’s unbelievable how many people go in and out the store stealing. I never know what to do when I see people stealing because I must protect myself; I always wanted to ask what I should do when witnessing someone stealing, but never got to it.I'm not sure but I think this whole problem began maybe because the pharm tech was bothered by having to re-enter my insurance information each visit, or maybe they're the insurance police; I don’t know if that is a title at all, much less at the pharmacy.

"Its not the technology, its the customer." -Joey from self checkout.
Great reflection of customer service at this jewel. Maybe if the seft scan weren't taken straight from the stone age and actually scanned, I wouldn't need to bother the high and mighty Joey in the self serve area.

Unfortunately I agree with most of the reviews. The baggers and checkers, really the males, make underhanded comments about everything you buy and it makes me feel uncomfortable. Ive also come home with way too many expired products. I do try to check them in store but as a parent I don't always have the attention to check $200 worth of groceries. You really have to watch the produce as well. It's rotten a lot. And the meat, well sometimes looks gray. It's to the point now where the only thing I buy here is alcohol and toilet paper. It really is terrible that I have to go further away to different stores, but this jewel, is just awful. If you do go here..definitely check, 90 sec bags of rice, salad dressings, all dairy, all produce, meat, bread, and any condiments.

What happened to the old days where the checkout person was a nice lady who would just Exchange pleasantries and do her job? You go to this Jewel and you have smart a** males who make underhand smart-ass comments to the bagger while you're in line getting your items rung up. Half the comments are directed toward me or whoever the victim is / customer it's like they want to have a contest of wits, which by the way is no contest they are at quite a disadvantage. Kyle was the cashier and Paul the bagger. This was September 22nd 2021 around 2 p.m. ish. Unfortunately sometimes I don't feel like scanning the items myself and get in line well that was probably the last time I ever do that cuz this has happened multiple times at this Jewel.

They had rotten chicken in their case. I showed it to the store director and he told me that's how it's supposed too smell sometimes because packaging. I'm not even sure what that means but I've worked in meat departments a while, they're chicken is bad and their staff doesn't care. Go elsewhere, for your own health.

Was at this store this morning and was very disappointed. If there is a pricing error in your system, why make me go to the service desk to correct your error, instead of taking care of it at the register? Not trying to get the cashier in trouble, but when I brought to her attention I was over charged on 2 cans of cat food, I was told she didn't know which ones they were, so I had to take to up at customer service! Way to make my shopping experience as convent as you possibly could...NOT! Just a word to the wise, this is not the first time Jewel has made money off wrong pricing, but doesn't seem like they want to make it easy to give it back to you, without being inconvenienced! Since I was in a hurry, I didn't get my refund, so I hope Jewel is proud of stealing from their customers! Avoiding this store!!!

How are the lines here consistently the longest? How is it possible? There are ALWAYS LONG LINES. Nice booze selection though. That helps.
