“The owner, I believe her name is Chris, was delightful. I haven't been to a game store in a long time and there was a vast selection of table games to choose from. I love the fact that it was not video games but board games and card games. We spent almost an hour in this store. It was easy to negotiate for someone who is disabled and they have game days and nights every week. You can look at the schedule as you walk in the door and that was very nice. While the actual game times and dates are held in another building north of this location, it appeared that it could be a lot of fun to go there and we plan on doing so. We walked in expecting to get one or two games, we walked out with six and spent quite more than we expected. Expected. But the games were great and we have enjoyed them over the last 2 weeks. An outstanding experience.”

I did my research and was prepared to have to haggle to get a fair price. The items I was selling were weighed and their offer was literally 99.6% of what I was hoping to receive. On the buy side, I was really impressed with the extremely minimal markup. What a pleasant surprise as a first-time customer here! It was such a smooth experience and it's no surprise that Pete's has such a loyal following. I will certainly be back, and wouldn't consider taking my business elsewhere.”
“Massive shout out to the folks at Fair Game. I stopped in on a visit from out of town and ended up having a wonderful, appropriately nerdy conversation with the two fellows working there at the time. Based on their recommendation, I bought the Arkham Horror card game and had it shipped back home. To be honest, I was skeptical of this game because I did not enjoy other Arkham Horror games, but I bought it anyway because I wanted to support the store. It turned out to be one of our favorite games.
It is such a pleasure to get to talk to people who know games and can make thoughtful recommendations based on a single conversation. If I lived in the state, this would be my go-to game store. If you live near La Grange, stop in, have a conversation, buy a game, and maybe go back for game night. You will be happy you did!”
“I've been coming here for almost a decade. Originally as a board game collector but more recently as a Warhammer player. Excellent store for many different kinds of games and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Also a great spot for Magic the Gathering and other card games.

“Was very busy and hard to get help but after being there an hour with my kids I finally got help and was able to Purchase the slotcar I wanted/needed to race with my friend I'll definitely be back. They got a good little hidden selection of slotcars unfortunately they don't know enough to help other people ,with questions or carry new tires for the slotcars.”

“I wonder if there’s anything different between Hobby Lobby and Michael’s art store. They seemed to sell similar things. 10 days before Christmas and Hobby Lobby is already having 60% off Christmas stuffs?
Maybe Hobby Lobby is a hair cheaper but also the interior is slightly darker and can use a remodeling.”

“When I was a kid I sometimes got dropped off at my aunt’s house in LaGrange, and my little cousin and I would skateboard here bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, dying to get a glimpse at some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in the display case or buy a few packs or cards of our own. Yes Steven has that very dry sense of humor and droll attitude that some people might not like, but that’s PART of Steven’s experience! He’s never mean. We LOVED going and talking to him, sometimes he would get a little aggravated with us and we would turn to each other and giggle, and he would talk to us about the card game and help us understand things. If I could go back in time and relive those core memories I would without a second guess, times were much simpler when we skateboarded down the street to Steven’s. He also taught us a lot of invaluable lessons! One I still use to this day! (Read the fine print on eBay listings, they’ll send you an empty box if they can!)”
“Kyle gave a class on beer making to my wife and adult daughter. We brewed a 5-gallon batch of beer. Kyle went through the steps with explanations for each step. A wonderful day of learning. We sampled some delicious apple cider as well. We bought some books on beer (and wine) making. We will be back to purchase beer making equipment so my daughter and I can make BEER!!!”

The store is wheelchair accessible which is nice since I have a daughter in a wheelchair.. If u have never been, now is the time to go or u can order on line.. “Incredible shop, something for every level collector. You will not leave empty handed. The clerk it knowledgeable and willing to advise if needed. If your looking for something extremely specific I would call first a few days before so he can set it aside, at times they are busy. And cannot hunt the very rare and obscure. None the less I love the shop but no longer live in the state.”

“An employee named Jeffrey helped me out ENORMOUSLY. I had a horrible experience with the GameStop at Riverside mall where they essentially refused to refund an insurance they pushed me to buy for my switch 2 (which I did not want). Jeffrey at Hodgkins helped me out quickly and easily and did not guilt trip me for canceling my insurance I was forced to pre-order a month ago. Actually an incredible guy, will only be going to this GameStop going forward. ?? Jeffrey needs a raise and recognition, actually the goat of GameStop. “Joe, the owner of LC&S is a very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to work with. Have made several small but important coin purchases there over the past 6 or 7 years. Recently Joe helped me with the sale of some Sterling Silver Flatware. He explained the process involved in determining the flatware's value and suggested that I visit several shops to get quotes and then to take the best one. When all was said and done Joe was able to make a more than fair offer and I sold to him. I always have trusted him and feel comfortable with his knowledge and expertise. “This place is really great! Highly recommended! Especially to those people who really love stuff for crafts. This place is the best! They have so many interesting things here, their selection is very large, and the whole place is really enjoyable. This spot is very clean, cozy, neat, organized, and bright. Everything here is great! Fantastic customer service! Their employees here are really nice, decent, and knowledgeable. They all know how to treat their customers so right. Also, they will help you to find the things you need. They are so accommodating. You can also check out so easily because they have many cashiers. Awesome service. This Michaels is very accessible, their location is very near and easy to find. You can go to their spot in just a few minutes from your area. Very convenient. The only reason why I gave them four stars is because their restrooms need some repair. But their place is still my preferred place to buy things for crafts and others. They are way better and cheaper than other stores around the place. Plus, this Michaels is also a great place to buy some decorations for Christmas and other special holidays. You can also order online and visit their website. They will bring your order to you quickly. Really wonderful spot! All of their items have really good quality. A really must-visit place for arts and crafts. I will definitely go back here again when I am nearby and I need some crafts again. Thank you for your awesome service guys! “Recently purchased a new frame to display my diploma, which I had allowed to languish in the closet for decades and was reminded that in addition to craft items, Michael's also had a frame department. The frame, being oversized, had some built in hangers, but since I didn't feel comfortable with aligning the screw-in units on the wall, I simply wanted an old fashioned wire hanger on the back. Given my experience with other frame shops, I expected I would have to drop it off and come back the following week to pick it up. The young gentleman working in the department, Flavius, surprised me by telling me I could swing back within the hour and pick it up. I went off to do some shopping at the Eddie Bauer Outlet and within a half hour received a phone call from Flavius telling me I could pick up the frame! Thanks, Flavius, for a great experience. Wish all shopping could be this excellent.”
