My wife noticed her Audi break warning light lit up this morning. She drove to Elmhurst Auto Clinic asked for checking up. They told her all four break rotors , pads and sensors need to be replaced (last break works were done about two years ago), and also four tires (two and half years old) need to be replaced ...total works cost $1985.38. During repairing they had broken one break caliper. Then they asked another $680 for replacing the caliper...The owner of this shop told me over the phone : If I won't pay him to fix broken caliper, I needed to pay him $1985.38, and tow my car home...
My argument: Few hours earlier , besides warning light lit up, this car had no ANY noticeable problem.Few hours later this car was not drivable anymore after paying $1985.38 . If they damaged more calipers, how much additional cost I need to pay.
I never expect I would need to pay that much to fix break warning sign.

I stopped here because I needed an alternator on my truck. Kevin was extremely rude the entire time, and even mocked me. I left to go get food, and he called me with a quote that was astronomically high for a simple job. I called around and spoke to 3 other shops who all quoted the exact same job, with the exact same parts, for less than half of the price that Kevin quoted me. They charged me $69 for diagnosis (even though there was no diagnosis involved, I already told them the problem and it was a very obvious problem), and then made fun of me to the other mechanics while I was walking out. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I sincerely hope nobody brings their vehicles here.

Went here with a bmw for a quick fix I couldn’t do myself, and they were honest, transparent, and very responsive. I was extremely impressed by their honesty, they don’t try to oversell you on overdramatized issues or unneeded repairs, and they provide really fair pricing (I knew what the labor associated repair time was and the cost of parts). This is my pet peeve with BMW / most European locations… all they have are trained sales men and the moment you murmur a scintilla of engineering knowledge their pre packaged response is “ you’ll have to speak with an engineer….. but she / he is not available, sorry”.
Here, you get real talk and quality work. Really refreshing to speak with competent individuals untethered to conniving intent focused on $$
Read through many of the negative reviews, they are hilarious. Most, if not all, make absolutely no sense, but nonetheless amazing entertainment value.
These are car people. This ain’t jiffy lube or meineke

They keep no records of their work. So if they replace the same wheel sensor more than 4 times on a vehicle with only 4 wheels, even they don’t know how much they are hosing you.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. Went in because I had an oil leak they told me it was my oil gasket so they charged me $900 for that job a couple weeks later I find out my car is still leaking oil so I take it back and then they tell me it was something else that would cost 2000 so I wasted $900 on a job that did not need to be done. Never going back and would recommend anyone to go somewhere else because they do not fully look into what is wrong with the job.

I've always had a positive experience using Elmhurst Auto Clinic. They are fair in pricing, saved me money, when the car dealership wanted to charge me for 475.00 worth of unnecessary service. I live a block away, and they came over to charge my battery so I wouldn't have tp pay a tow truck fee.Prompt service.

I left my car to get a transmission serviced. Few weeks after I took my car to another mechanic and he notice transmission oil was not change. I was charged for nothing. Don't trust them with your car
