Didn't find anything that appealed to me amongst the many antiques, but definitely enjoyed browsing. We also found 3 novelty books and a couple of spiced "mug rugs" to give as gifts, along with some Route 66 swag. Overall, an interesting shop.

Had a delicious cup of Bean Soup, 1/2 Turkey Panini and 1/2 piece of Lemon Cheesecake pie at a reasonable price, all in a relaxed atmosphere with a small gift shop on the other side of the cafe. The only downside is you need cash to add a tip to your bill as you can't add a tip to your credit card payment.

We were so happy that the Blue Dog Cafe 15 minutes north had recently closed because we discovered the most charming interesting delicious cafe! There’s a wine tasting store across the street that you’re able to buy and bring in, they even have darling antique wine glasses. The turkey cranberry panini and coconut cream pie was awesome! So much history and fun art, antiques. Highly recommend!

My family of 8 and I stopped in for lunch. Food, atmosphere, and service was 10 stars out if 5. Absolutely making this a must visit spot in our vacation planner.

I visited yesterday and ordered the Turkey BLT with a cup of chicken noodle soup. Apparently the soup was homemade and it was pretty good. The BLT literally has one thin sliver of turkey with one straggly little piece of bacon. By far the worst excuse for a sandwich I've ever eaten. Oh, but the bread was good, ha ha. All for a whopping $11. Learn how to properly make a sandwich!Never again!

The food itself was fine. It was the service that left a bad taste in my mouth. We were on our way back home from a nice family vacation when we stopped for something light to eat. I requested to order a piece of pie and tea. The waiter, who seemed to also be the owner and the cook, said I couldn't have that, and that we could talk about dessert later. So, I then requested a cup of soup, and he said I couldn't have that either. I needed to order a bowl of soup. (The things that I ordered were all on the menu, of course.) Our son ordered a half sandwich with soup, and he apparently didn't like that order either because he brought him a full sandwich with no soup. I left feeling abused, frankly, and am still talking about the strange experience more than a month later.

You can’t go wrong with this unique venue. The items in Horsefeathers range from antiques to art to Amish noodles and more. Back in the café, Peter and crew make delicious sandwiches, quiches, and soups. Be sure to leave room for dessert because, like everything else, it’s all made from scratch. If he’s made a butterscotch pie, he made that filling. No opening a can or reconstituting powder. Personal favorite: the chocolate mousse square with coffee.

This place is still alive and well. Like the other reviews, this place is worth stopping at off of Route 66. Delicious food in the middle of a unique environment. The building used to be a bank. We ate lunch in the small vault. Staff was really friendly too. We ordered the tomato soup special, bacon spinach wrap, and cranberry Turkey panini. Don’t miss out on the coconut cream pie!!

Four of us had a delicious leisurely lunch in the snug vault of the former bank: chicken curry stew with salad and bread, grilled cheese, tomato soup, incredibly good raspberry ice tea, and homemade pies for dessert. Great place for a quiet conversation. We've been here before and will be back.
