This place was not the greatest salon I've been too I recently moved in the area and was looking for a new hair salon. I was looking to change my hair to a lighter color. They end up putting me with one of there new stylist named Emily. She was ok at first then at the end I felt like she did what she wanted to do with my hair. The whole reason why I went there because I wanted to change my hair color to a lighter color. I didn't want to have dark hair anymore. Then they end up overcharging me at the end because they use more product in my hair. They could've told me that while they were doing my hair so when I went to go pay, I had to pay more money. Then I end up going back to put a toner in my hair. She made my hair dark again. The whole reason was going there was to make my hair light and then she got upset with me and red in the face when I told her that I didn't like the way, my hair looked, and that it was two different colors, light on the top and dark on the bottom, I end up paying for something that I didn't want and on top of that when I was telling her that I didn't like the way my hair looked one of the owners was right there they didn't say anything didn't apologize. Very unprofessional people I wouldn't recommend Emily. She has no experience and has no professional skills and doesn't know how to talk to people. They should hire people that has more experience.

I got my first facial. I also had a eyebrow and lip wax. Service was impressive. Olivia did an amazing job. You can tell she really loves her job and her brow game is on point. Also very friendly staff! They don't skimp on good products either. Bathroom was clean and place was beautiful.

I drive all the way from Lake Villa to get my hair done here! I love Heather who does my hair!!She listens intently and offers her opinion with other cool suggestions. She is quick with the foiling and the color was EXACTLY as I wanted! Couldn’t be happier with outcome!

Everyone is so friendly here! They are reasonably priced. Perfect place to get your hair done, you can have a whole spa day! Hair, facials by Olivia, & a massage by Angel!

The folks at the Mixx are AWESOME! Kelli has been my stylist for over 3 years. She is FANTASTIC. She takes the time to listen to what I want and will make recommendations. I've been extremely happy with her work. She's an artist, and very professional. I highly recommend The Mixx.

Adriana is amazing, she’s been the only hair stylist to achieve the color I want in one session. I have very dark black, Indian hair and she was able to do perfect ashy caramel highlights in one session. She’s super friendly and takes her time, she also fixed my hair when another salon messed it up. She does amazing work and I highly recommend her!Services: Hairstyling

I took the chance to try a new salon and go with something bold. Kelli and the team exceeded all expectations! After going to many salons over the years, it was so nice to not feel like I was another "to do" or be rushed out. They were just as excited as I was to make the change and not only did I leave with exactly what I wanted, but the salon was super inviting and I felt comfortable. I appreciated how open the communication was during the process and I KEEP getting compliments on my color weeks after. Thank you Kelli and team! I'll be back!!
