AWFUL AWFUL customer service !As u can see from all the terrible reviews, this place is the dinosaur of banks!Hands down the worst with technology, and if u are a Zelle user then this isn’t the bank for you.Don’t choose just because it’s local .It’s not worth the headache!

HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! I am only leaving one star b/c I have to leave a star to post this review. I purchased a car with First American being the end holder of the car note in August. As of January they will not take debit or credit card payments over the phone. Their website will not allow you to make a payment online unless it’s due. (So no early Payments) ALSO I tried to set up an external account for them to my credit union and learned IT IS NOT SECURE!! My personal credit union rep called and told me that it will not work with an unsecured bank. Since January I have to literally keep calling people in the executive offices to get them to make a payment plus principal. This is beyond frustrating and I feel as though they may just want to car back ??!! Making payments to First American is like pulling teeth that are on fire !SO HAPPY it’s just a short term car note and not a 15 year mortgage!!?

The customer service was terrible by one of the employees named ***************************. I tried to explain my reason for calling but he was frustrated and hung up on me. I have dealt with some great employees who have provided great customer service but *************************** poor guy I hope your day gets better I am so sorry you feel the need to take your frustrations out on customers.

I would never patronize this bank or any of its locations because of the racist "Grandma" ads they run on the radio. It is absolutely disgusting

The worst banking experience I’ve ever had. Avoid if possible, it’s unfortunate that companies use this bank for their HSA.

Bad bad bad! Warning people! Do not bank with them! For a mistake of being 90 cent short of my mortgage ONCE they put my account to collection! Do. Not. Bank. With. Them. They have no common sense, no business professionalism! Stay away

This business has been running racist ads for more than 10 years. I've complained and been brushed off on multiple occasions. The radio ads focus on the fictitious "Grandma" and her fictitious grandson. Grandma has a thick Lithuanian accent and her grandson has ridiculous conversations with her all while promoting the bank. If I ran a radio spot with thick Chinese accents would that be okay? What if I had a heavy Latino accent? How about an over the top African American accent? Is that okay? This bank needs to stop mocking Lithuanian culture and respect the community. They lost a customer.

Fadil and Robert ******** and Samantha were literally the best banking experience I’ve ever had by a long shot. It’s funny because as I get older I try to better myself as a human being and maybe my karma is good!? Don’t know don’t care. Extremely appreciative of them

Horrible service. Tried to work with James Dunlop on financing for a home. At first promised the world and match or beat anyone, but as things progressed, and rates dropped, we'd not locked our rate, constantly added a quarter to half point above even large banks. (even with top credit reports and scores. Would show the competitors rates on the same product and he give us a hard time and would ask us to prove it with a confirmation letter by the competitors manager, basically applying for a loan with them as well to get the letter. Always had an arrogance in his behavior. We ended up leaving First American and going with a major bank which had us approved and ready to close in 2 weeks.

I loathe this bank. I was called by their fraud department on the Saturday before Labor Day weekend. They close at noon on Saturday and then had no one available until TUESDAY. I couldn't access my account online or at an ATM. Luckily, I had cash over a long weekend. I ended up closing the account and going somewhere else. Also, their technology is from the 1990s. It wouldn't surprise me if they were still using COBOL and mainframes.
