Hi here all the time, during the day. Never had a bad experience… Until making the mistake of going on a Friday evening at 9 o’clock. There was a man behind the counter with short hair and long strands on the top. I went to get a few lottery tickets, I spoke to him very clearly and held up the bill I was using, he shook his head, repeated to me what I had requested, and issued me the wrong tickets.
I immediately told him that this was incorrect and please return my money so I can take my business elsewhere. He became VERY Argumentative and proceeded to continue his conversation with another customer who appeared to be his friend. I apologized to the customer for interrupting, but again asked him to return my money. At this time, he told me it was too late and there’s nothing he could do. If he returned the money when requested he would have had plenty of time. They have this awkward piece of plastic hanging between the cashier and the customers, I presume it was From Covid times, but it is just a large piece with holes on the side and bottom, It’s silly. Nonetheless, the cashier proceeded to point to the piece of plastic claiming that was also part of the problem. Lastly, he again completely dismissed me and pretended I was not there. I have never had such an awful interaction with a cashier ever in real life, ESPECIALLY One that I frequent daily to give them my business.
I will be contacting the Illinois Lottery on Monday along with the 7-Eleven corporate location. I will never return to the specific location again, I will make sure my wife and four kids never use this location again, and lastly, I will inform friends and family on social media of this awful experience.

I work 2 minutes from this location at the nursing home the Indian cashiers are so nice and friendly I love them to death as a frequent customer (3x times a week ). They even know my brother and ex-boyfriend ? I wanted to leave this review thanking them for kindness as a customer for 2 years ! I don’t know their names but the man who is of Indian descent in the overnight shift is amazing and manages to always put smile on his face and ask me about my day and my family god bless that man ! ❤️
Update : his name is Kumar he always has the Italian subs on stock and if they’re not in stock he goes in the back to grab me one ?he is the best ! I don’t go here that much anymore but he still remembers me and is always so kind !

The clerk charged me extra for a Big Gulp drink that is normally free when applying my rewards points. And he insisted that the extra charge be paid in cash, not with my debit card. This has never happened previously, at any 7-Eleven store. I don't know if the clerk is simply incompetent or a scammer. 6/25/23 11:50

Be alert ‼️: 06/18/2023 bad 7-11 locations.bad agent he is rude.he doesn’t know the payment methods that customers can use. What the f , management doing? Teach your employees , he lying or doesn’t know. He said no Applepay but I didn’t believe him I paid by it.

I was very disappointed with my experience this morning. I've never been to this location before and won't be returning. I picked out a drink and went to the cashier. She scanned it, I swiped my card, and needed to hit "debit" before it would go any further. I tried to press it multiple times but the touch screen wasn't working. She told me to just put in the pin. I did but I knew that wasn't going to work as I hadn't selected whether it was debit or credit and for this specific card I have to. She said "oh well it's basically declining". What?? There is PLENTY of money on my card. It didn't decline. It didn't even get to that point that it would decline because debit/credit wasn't selected yet. She wasn't understanding that something was wrong with the touch screen and she started getting rude and acting like I didn't know what I was doing. Maybe if she "basically" knew how to work her register, we wouldn't have had an issue. ? I ended up just saying forget it because I didn't want to hold the line up any longer. I went to the 7-Eleven on Rohlwing rd instead and used THE SAME CARD with no issues there. I should've just stuck with the Rohlwing rd location to begin with.

It never fails that when I go into this location early in the morning on the weekends that the cashier is talking on her phone. She continues to talk on the phone while waiting on customers. These aren’t business calls. Put the phone away and talk to your customers.
