This branch only has personal bankers by appointment. I've been to other branches where appointments were not required, and are more than happy to help. I've also been to other banks who are happy to help walk-in's first come first serve, even if they come 10 minutes before close. My business with all of my paperwork provided would have only taken 5-10 minutes as it did with the other branch. This branch needs customer service training.

Service is always good when I am there. They do need to answer phone when calling. No one answers when I call. The biggest complaint I have is with 5/3 directly is why the heck do you charge us to take our money out. If I use a cash station elsewhere I get charged $3.00 firm them and then 5/3 charges me another $3.00. That is shameful. You have my money and are also making money on it and then are charging me for taking it out. What the heck. My fees alone are killing me. I have two other banks and they don’t charge me. Makes me think what I need to do.

I needed a new debit card and bank teller Jesus expedited me one. It came next day. He called me excited to let me know my card was in. Jesus was very upbeat and happy to help on any issues I had. If you got any issues go see him.

I had 1000 dollars stolen from my account at 5/3rd with the use of the Zelle app that they supply, instead of taking 5 to 10 days, they took 4 months and many calls from a police detective to get them to say, yes your account was taken over, and your money was removed thru Zelle but they said Zelle will not give your money back so we are not able to reimburse you. excuse me but you are my bank for 23 years it is your app that allowed my money to be removed . they were very hard to deal with, they would hang up, or of course the i cant help with that. they were hard to work with slow i guess they wanted me to give up. any way they have no loyalty, no one wants to take charge. they did not stand up for me and what i have read i am not the only one this has happened to. Do Not Due Business with 5?3rd or Zelle. thanks for reading

Terrible communication and customer service. Wasted my time with wrong information needed to set up a business checking and cancelled several appointments. Don’t bank here. I’ll be closing current accounts here and transferring elsewhere.

This bank leaves a lot to be desired.The branch manager Nancy should have been fired weeks ago.The teller Marisol is an airhead.I finally had to close my account. I responded to Fifth Third Bank's request that I call them. I talked to a very nice man, however, in the end, I still didn't get my money back. Fifth Third Bank owes me $500.00 in overdraft fees because they wouldn't honor a temporary credit for a fraud charge on my account.I was informed by an investigator at the Office of the President (I wrote a letter) that the fraud was not really fraud. She was professional, but smug, self-righteous and pompous. When I mentioned that the reviews of Fifth Third Bank were for the most part all negative, she told me that reviews posted live were like that.Run away, run away, run away from this Bank.Terrible terrible customer service.

The location in elgin has terrible customer service. They lock my teenager account twice. Never got a good answer from them called twice and I got different answers at second time they hang out ne er receive a call from them. They make my son feel miserable because he could not use his money on his birthday. For te second time. They not even tried to help. So mad. Horrible customer service.

SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS READ!!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT get your credit card/Merchant services at this location. Their rep, DENNIS CHAU, is a scam artist working for FIRST DATA GLOBAL LEASING. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CREDIT CARD COMPANY IN THE WORLD. Look at their reviews, they'll speak for themselves. I found myself paying over 100 a month for a credit card machine I never used. There are literally hundreds of companies out there that will provide the same service for free, just a fixed processing fee of around 2.6% per transaction. I rate this branch and every other 53 bank in the world a 0/5 stars. How can they ever allow such a sleazy company to manipulate their trusted customers. They're threatening to damage my credit, its impossible to get ahold of anyone that works there until your account is past due and you're up for collection. Save yourself the misery and BS. Go elsewhere

You have got to be kidding me. I walk up to the door and while I'm waiting for my 2 kids.... they lock the door on me. I know you close at 2pm. It was 1:59... but still. Great customer service. They (at least two ppl) saw me. Thanks a lot!!!! I have accounts at several banks. Too bad I have a loan here. Would not recommend.
