If you are looking for employment, I suggest looking anywhere else than this place. I was an intern briefly for this site, and I did not receive the adequate support I was promised. I was told training would be done at my own pace, and I would receive plenty of shadowing opportunities before I was completely on my own - that was not the case. When I came into the outpatient therapy program, it was very short staffed and they had employees leaving left and right and now I understand why- staff are overworked and underpaid. Because we were so short staffed, as an ill prepared intern I was forced to keep on taking on new clients. I spoke with my supervisor on feelings of burnout and she had no sympathy. No in person training either they just have you "reflect on your online Litmos trainings" which are also poorly done. The CIS system used to document constantly crashes and there was little to no accountability on the administrative end, and employers would get frustrated if I had trouble understanding something because "everything is provided in the online training", which again I was forced to rush through (and is not adequate training) because of it being so short staffed. When it came time for me to leave the site, my supervisor had not even made referrals for my clients in time- very unprofessional and seemingly lacks person centered client care. In addition, for a place that prides themselves on person centered care, they treat their employees/interns at the bottom of the food chain as disposable and allow them to be very susceptible to burnout. Lastly, there is no major advocacy efforts done in this organization. The organization serves a large marginalized and immigration population yet stays silent on raising issues on immigration reform, and with its various funding it receives from other organization it does not organize events related to social justice and mental health- instead it organizes events mainly to celebrate staff members. And if you are a client, I would also suggest looking elsewhere because they tell each therapist that you cannot have a client long-term, even if they are not ready to leave, they put each client on an expected time crunch when to be finished by. This was a terrible nightmare experience that almost made me want to quit social work altogether and I suggest anyone considering joining this organization to proceed with caution.

i’ve had multiple bad experiences with the doctors in the past and both of the nurse practitioners currently being used by FSA. I had a therapist here for around four years who i ended things with due to her unprofessionalism with a specific situation involving one of the practitioners.
