Amazing service and amenities! Ida made the transaction great for getting my loaner vehicle quick and easy, I overall recommend the Genesis brand to anyone in the vehicle market but this latest service puts me over the top saying Genesis of Elgin is one of the best retailers there are!

I recently purchased a new 2024 GV70 in June at the Genesis of Elgin and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Brendon, our salesperson, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and never pushy. He made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
David, the manager, took the time to introduce himself, which added a nice personal touch to the experience.
To top it off, I received some unexpected rebates, which was a pleasant surprise! Tyler, the finance person, made the final steps a breeze, clearly explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable with my decisions.
Because of THIS service team we actually went back in July to buy a second car - a 2025 GV70 - with Brendon, again being our go to salesperson. He is simply the best!
Overall, a great car buying experience! Highly recommend this team.

The buying experience on the day I purchased my vehicle from the dealership was a good one. The reason for my poor review is the followup regarding out of state registration. It has caused me great frustration and a lot of time I could have spent doing other things as I've had to do most of the communication and reminders to get the process moving on receiving the transferred registration from my old vehicle to the one I purchased from them. Having purchased the vehicle at the end of April 2024 and it now being the middle of August 2024 I have yet to receive the registration. I do know at this point there is movement, but I don't know when I will receive anything. I knew it could be a somewhat lengthy process dealing with an out of state dealership. However, when I followed up about the issue no response was given until I continued to follow up. Not until July shortly before the temporary "drive off the lot" registration ended did they share with me there were titling issues on their end as the title for the vehicle wasn't in their possession yet. While I don't understand why the vehicle was even able to be sold at that point is beyond the point. This is something they didn't disclose to me and seemingly did nothing about until I started making some noise about it. Speaking with a manager I was told the Crowdstrike outage affected their ability to move forward on it. I feel this is a poor excuse as there was ample time get this moving properly before that ever happened. The manager said the funding was also delayed due to a custom funding situation as I am dealing with some credit challenges right now. Another poor excuse as the dealership was going to have to get the title for the vehicle whether they sold it to me or another customer with or without credit challenges. A customer should be able to trust that the dealership will take care of these sorts of details in a timely manner or at least communicate delays and their reasons promptly. Instead I have had to constantly follow up to get the information I should have had. Had they been forthcoming with information and responsive to my communications on the situation from the start, I wouldn't be writing this review at all.

Purchased car full out early June. Current Day Aug 11, 2024. Still no title. Application was never put in.Took for me to say something to them at the dealership for them to put in my application 2 months later. Told me CDK global was cyber attacked. Yea I researched on June 19th and was resolved shortly after that. I don’t want to hear the excuses. Now I can’t sell the car and get another before I move to a different state Thursday. If you buy a car, don’t get a lower priced one from them cause apparently they don’t care and will just take your money. Now I’m in this fender because of them.

Ajay and Dave were the best ! Once I decided I wanted a gv70 I called several dealers asking what they're coming off sticker. No one gave me an answer! Only come in or they would only mention what genesis incentives are.
Dave layed it all out in simple numbers !
Here's what genesis is giving and this is what we are offering. After searching for a week at several dealers and getting the run around I decided to drive from the city to elgin. Dave and Ajay kept there word and better when I arrived.
Within an hour I had my car. Then when it came time to go into financing I expected additional fees, but none ! Exactly what I was told !
Amazing experience! Your a fool if you don't give them a chance at your business.

We had an awesome experience with Ajay and Elgin Genesis. Ajay was personable and professional. He was knowledgeable about the Genesis in general and able to answer all questions regarding the GV70 that we purchased. We would highly recommend Ajay and Elgin Genesis.

If I can give them a 0 star, I would. I have had my car for the past 90 days, and it still needs to be titled in my name. When I get my title, there will be a penalty because Indiana must be titled in 45 days. Customer service after you buy a vehicle from them is nonexistent. I have a car I am making payments on that I can't legally drive right now. Avoid this dealership!! I know I will in the future.
