I really have to start off saying. This dealership is a joke. Purchased a brand new Ram 2020. It’s 2023 and something is wrong with my exhaust. Scheduled an appointment for today 10/21/23. While speaking with the service rep he said if it’s not covered under warranty and if I do not get the service done that I will have to pay $185 just to get the diagnostic. I wouldn’t be charged that amount if I paid them to fix it. I asked well how am I going to know if it’s covered under warranty or not? Only way is for us to check but again if you don’t get it fixed you’re going to have to pay $185.No thank you, I’ll take my chances driving a vehicle that might have something wrong with it. I’m tired of people and dealerships trying to take advantage of us hard working people. I was going to purchase another truck from them but I will be taking my business elsewhere. If I were you I’d do the same. You have been warned.It’s been two weeks since the reply from Elgin CDJR, I called the very same day with no response. They make it seem like they care but they really don’t. It’s just a front to let others think they’re actually doing something.

Cruz got us the car we have always wanted. Great job!!!! Highly recommend going to see him! He isn’t the typical guy just trying to sell you a car, he’s straight forward with you in the first place. Defo will be back!

Made an appointment at this location for an oil change. My appointment was at 12pm. Just to come in on time and them telling me that It was a 3-4 hour wait, because they are no longer taking appointments. It’s now by first come first serve. (NO EMAIL OR PHONE CALL were maid to me to inform me about this change) waited for more than 3 hours in the lobby. This is insane and not professional at all!

Dropped my car off on Friday. The service rep stated all parts were available and the car would be done by Monday at 10am. He never called. I tried calling several times. Left several messages. He never returned my call. It's now Tuesday. I finally got through to someone who stated my service rep is off today and they are waiting on a part. Not sure why I was told all parts were in. I was told a manager would call me back in a few minutes. Still waiting

GB is the guy, I'm a hot shot driver out of Alabama and it's always hard for me to get fit in even for an oil change when I'm in another state but GB went above and beyond for me and made sure I got that oil change and more and kept coming to me letting me know the status on my truck. We need more people like him and more understanding at these other Dodge dealerships giving certain situations. It's been plenty of times I've been on the road and need service done and I call 10 to 20 different locations in different surrounding cities and I'm told it will be 2 to 3 weeks with 0 understanding that I'm a Hot Shot Driver from out of town, like really this is my job what am I supposed to do for 2 to 3 weeks how am I supposed to get home. I really hope this can be heard at corporate over all Dodge dealerships and something can be done for us Hot Shot drivers knowing the situation and truck stops don't service us and other mechanic places can barely get a hold of parts so what other choice do we have but to go to the dealership where we got the truck from. But Thank You again GB at Elgin.

Horrible customer service. Dropped off my Jeep two weeks ago, no updates, no call, no email, absolutely nothing. Decided to call and get an update, on hold for more than one hour. No update. Call the number of that Chris guy that responds to these reviews, no answer. Included are pictures of my phone for proof.

An hour and half wait every single time I come in for an oil change and tire rotation with an appointment. Don't even bother trying to use the Express Lane because it will take 2+ hours.

Bought our truck from Elgin and that was a good experience. Since then the Service Dept has been TERRIBLE. A outside mirror was replaced under Warranty but they installed one of the wrong color. Took 2 days and it's still not right. Lately needed a Nav software update. Truck was at the Dealership for 7 hours and still wasn't done. GO ELSWHERE!!

**DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP** PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST!!!!I purchased a brand new 2020 Jeep Wrangler about 3 years ago, just before they moved to their current location. Was very excited and happy with my salesman Eddie. Shortly, a year after I began having problems with my Jeep. It began jerking, took it service left it to get it checked. I was without a car for about 2 weeks and was never given a loaner even though I was promised one when I purchased the vehicle. They said NOTHING was wrong with it and since the light from the dashboard did not stay on to "ignore it". Couple days later the jerking continued, and my dashboard warning sign stayed on and I brought it back to service. My husband mentioned to one of the service employees that it could be the transmission and yes indeed it was. I had the transmission replaced and was left without a vehicle for a month. Every time I called for an update I got transferred to different people from the service department and sometimes was sent to directly to voicemail or they would hang up. I continued to call almost every day because this is my only car and needed it to commute to work and to college. Finally, of weeks of frustration, I received a call saying my JEEP was ready to be picked up. I arrived at the dealership with my husband after work but for whatever reason my Jeep was nowhere to be found! Annoyed at the situation, I had a heated discussion with the GM and only then I was given a loaner car(whole process for the loaner was 30mins tops!) like why couldn't they had given me a loaner from very beginning???Couple months after that incident my car wouldn't start. Took it back to service and once again they COULD NOT find the problem.Their diagnosis went from a "computer issue" to “your vehicle won’t start because you have your door open while trying to start it”. They took longer to check my car (I would say about a month and a half) AND even contacted a "STAR" mechanic/tech but because they could not REPLICATE the problem they had to conclude there was NOTHING wrong. After taking so long and not getting anywhere I asked for my car back since once again I was not given loaner.Now my car won't start at all and I had to tow it to the dealer. Only for them to say its no longer under warranty and the extended warranty I had purchased is not valid for this circumstance(so convenient). Oh and don't even bother talking to the GM, he's a joke too. When I talked to him regarding my problem and my experience with them, he said I just had "bad luck" with my vehicle, like buying a brand NEW car is a matter of good luck and not quality of the vehicle. I was offered to purchase more vehicle protection with one of his sales reps. I get that vehicle protection is important when you’re purchasing a used vehicle but this was a BRAND NEW car! My JEEP only has 36K miles on it! I just don’t understand how these people won’t understand my frustration!I will never purchase a vehicle from Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler again and I will make sure all the people that I know, don't either.

I did not but my jeep from them but they are the closest Jeep dealer to me so we do use there service dept and parts dept. I can say that the service team and the parts team are awesome to deal with and they are always up front even with last late oil changes. The service dept is spotless and they do clean work. 2 years ago the saved me the cost of a new motor cause I went to a Valvoline oil change in Elgin and they put the wrong antifreeze in my jeep turned eveything in the coolant system and motor to turn to sludge. They had it for a month and they got it all out replaced the radiator hoses and heater core but it’s all good now and could not be happier. Top notch service Dept!!

Just bought this beauty off the showroom floor. I loved it the minute I walked in. Thanks so much to Cruz who made the purchase process so easy. He was upfront with everything involved and great to talk with. If you are ever in the market for a new car, stop by and ask for Cruz!!
