I didn't have the privilege of staying at this location in Elgin, Illinois, but our employee did and he accidentally left his laptop behind. Lisette T., at the front desk, was super helpful. She went out of her way to get our laptop packaged and shipped back to us safely and securely. Many, many thanks Lisette! We so appreciate all you did to provide us with exceptional service!

Leftover urine stains on the toilet seat along with plenty of hairs throughout the bathroom and toothpaste and dust on the sink. Had cold showers 4 out of 5 days because the water wouldn't get hot after 9 am-not sure how a hotel runs out of hot water. Breakfast is the same everyday and got stopped trying to take it up to the room. Had to ask for housekeeping to come to our room since they skipped it even though we took the sign off the door. Checkout is at 11 and they came knocking at our door at 10:45. Worst hotel stay I've experienced.Rooms: Dirty bathroomNoteworthy details: Bad service

Stayed for 5 nights recently. Got yelled at for bringing food up to my wife while she was getting ready for the day. Toilet was dirty when we checked in. Never had hot water except for 1 day, it was ice cold. Very very noisy at night and the heater made loud sounds whichbmade it difficult to sleep. Room service only came once and only because we asked. I am a frequent traveler and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

The price is right and they’ve got an indoor pool to keep the kids happy. They let us check in early and free breakfast. However, it is extremely noisy at night. I strongly recommend that you get a room at the very end of the hall. We had loud guests checking in and traversing the hall on the way to their rooms. We were awaken several times. The rooms are a little dated but not horrible. The backlit led mirror in the bathroom had an annoying flicker.

We enjoyed our stay at this Comfort in Elgin,IL on 9-23-23. I was scared of the reviews, but there is honestly nothing that we can complain about this Comfort, except the doors. Why can't a hotel make SILENT closing doors????? Check in and out were great. The lobby was inviting and our room was really nice. Had a pool which we didn't use. Coffee was good and breakfast looked to have a good variety of whatever hot and cold you wanted. We just grabbed coffee and two pastries since we were meeting our son and family for breakfast elsewhere. A big night for ball players in the joint, but was quiet. Nice bunch of players and parents. Really did enjoy our stay here.

Stayed here for the week with my husband who was in town for a class and we have friends who live here.Rooms were clean but we didn't have hot water every morning and rust in the bath tub.The door to our room didn't lock properly and needed to be fixed.The a/c made loud noise at night .The coffee was horrible but the breakfast was ok.We did ask the front desk about the water and lock on door they were super nice but said yea sometimes if alot of water is used that it runs out. They said Ishould not have to wiggle the lock but I would have to if I wanted it to lock.The hotel was not at capacity when we stayed it was pretty empty so the hot water was an issue. Overall for a night it would be ok.

Pool is freezing cold!! The least you could do is turn up the temperature so guests can enjoy themselves.Got nearly tackled by a hotel worker after trying to bring breakfast upstairs to my daughter who wasn’t feeling well. Guests can bring coolers of food and leftovers from restaurants to their rooms, but not breakfast from downstairs?!?!! Extremely poor management decision! That is the dumbest rule I’ve ever heard for a hotel.ANTS all over the hallways, lobby and breakfast area!! Super gross! How about fix your ant issue and stop worrying about people eating breakfast in their rooms.Noteworthy details: LET YOUR GUESTS BRING BREAKFAST BACK TO THEIR ROOMS! DON’T BE RIDICULOUS!TURN UP THE POOL TEMPERATURE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!FIX YOUR ANT INFESTATION!

Worst hotel experience ever! Kids running around all hours of the night. Sounded more like a frat house. Hotel card said breakfast between 6-9am but front desk argued that it was 7-10. And couldn't connect to their WiFi even with support. Not impressed!

When me and my two daughters first arrived at this hotel, we were impressed and said almost immediately that we would return. Although there were three small problems, they were not big enough to change our minds about a future stay. Fast forward to breakfast the next morning. My two daughters, age 10 and 6 are sleep and I don’t want to wake them so early so I go down to grab breakfast for both of them to bring back to the room. However, I was chased down by an employee as I waited with my food by the elevator. She stated that food was not allowed beyond the cafeteria and I should return. I was totally shocked as I had never heard such a ludicrous rule. When I asked why, she said, “the syrup left by previous guests caused ants.” Might be true, but that has nothing to do with me. I personally, can’t eat first thing in the morning so taking my food to the room is how I usually do it. That rule alone was a deal-breaker for me. This is supposed to be my home-away-from home yet I’m told I have to eat my “complimentary” breakfast in public. Guests should be able to decide where they want to eat. If ants were a problem, ask other hotels what they do since you guys obviously have no clue. You can’t stop guests from taking their own purchased food to the room so what is the difference? Sounds more like a money-issue disguised as a pest-issue. I simply threw all the food in the garbage because I was angry. So angry that I didn’t even bother going to breakfast the next several days. Now that this hotel has taken my choice of breakfast away, I’m upset about the three things I mentioned were not going to be a big deal. 1. My microwave wasn’t plugged in so I had to rig it up myself (see picture) 2. The light in the bathroom was bad so it blinked the entire time. Each time I went into the bathroom I thought I was at a disco ball. (see picture) The safety latch on my door was completely broke. If you like to eat in the privacy of your own room, this hotel is NOT for you. We will NOT be returning in the fall for our next family get away. We will choose a hotel that lets us choose. Stay Away! Also, the pool water was so cold that my daughter’s lips turned purple.UPDATE: During a later stay at a different hotel, they went as far as providing me with a tray to take my food back to my room. That was such a wonderful feeling. My girls swam for 3 hours the night before and were not up early enough for breakfast but this hotel was very accommodating. This experience made me think of this hotel who does the total opposite. (See last pic)

Had a wonderful stay - manager on duty was very helpful and friendly. Made our stop very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable and price was very reasonable. Was a good find!

Very nice room. Clean and neat. The bathroom could use a towel rack to hang hand towels from instead having to drape them over the side of the sink. Ridiculous policy of not being able to take the breakfast food back to the room. It's not that food isn't permitted in the room because there is a mini fridge and microwave. Having said that, the breakfast is good with a good variety of selections. I don't recommend the eggs though, as I don't believe they are real eggs. There is also a laundry room. I would stay here again.Rooms: very cleanFood & drinks: nice breakfast

If I could do less then 1 star I would I left less then 5 hrs after checking do not recommend if you have children not a family friendly environment if you have to stay in this hotel or your car your better off to stay in your car then you don't have harassment just for existing on their property totally unacceptable worst hotel worst service I've experienced -Aug26,2023 12:46pm

DO NOT CHOSE THIS LOCATION!! After my wife checked in, there were numerous complaints about the room being filthy and lack of basic amenities. Apparently, you can only use the front entrance, which is awkward because they have a parking lot at the rear of the building, which is completely locked. Yesterday, they had workers come repair mirrors in every room and expected all patrons to open their rooms up and be present while the mirrors were installed. This is Ludicrous!! Cycle the rooms and install the mirrors in unused rooms. Then my wife gets berated by the Manager because he was angry that she didn't want to be disturbed in the morning, to open the door for workers. Absolutely unacceptable. Do not spend your money here!

I stay a few times a month at this location. I love the new renovations. The staff is above and beyond friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel. You will be seeing me soon again!
