Not happy with how the er staffing is. You'll have to wait 1-2 hours just to get seen then you'll be waiting 1-2 hours just to get checked up on. This is ridiculous, people shouldn't have to wait 4 hours just for some emergency healthcare especially when it's not busy, all the staff is young they don't care about helping people. You'll be forgotten in a room waiting before you walk out. Bogus treatment.

Dear Sherman Hospital! Your people are so so so nice. Rosa, the CT technician deserves a raise. Octavia the front worker was so kind and helpful. Thank you all

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I had the worse experience with the most unprofessional "dr Epstein". I have anxiety attacks triggered by pain and I have Hyperemesis gravidarum I haven't been able to eat or drink anything without keeping it down. I was in so much pain today due to the constant vomiting and they brought me up to a room. I had an anxiety attack because the pain I was having was unbearable, I refused anxiety meds as I always do because of how it makes me feel. That doctor wasn't here all day and didn't see the pain I was in for himself or at least didn't see him until 8:45pm. When he arrived to my room he told me "don't come back to this hospital until you're ready to act like an adult" what type of doctor could say that to someone? Very unprofessional and I will never come back here and I will tell everyone on my social media if they need any medical attention without wanting to feel like less of a person because the doctor is immature and inappropriate and does not care for his patients. DO NOT SEE DOCTOR EPSTEIN! Especially if you're dealing with anxiety depression or anything in that nature.

I had a terrible experience here during COVID, but when I tell you I had the best experience here during my recent hospitalization...it was a complete 180. Emergency Room wasn't crowded, and was efficient. That's the one item that could set the tone for the visit. My review focuses more on admission. The 5th floor is full of super kind and compassionate staff, nurses, nurse assistants, volunteers, housekeepers and nutrition team. They were responsive and caring. I would not hesitate to return for any future needs.

I ordered flowers for my Wife while at Sherman Hospital. They were beautiful and delivered to her room promptly. I strongly recommend them.

I've always hated this hospital for the pure fact they misdiagnosed me with lymphoma when i just had a swollen lymph node. But my current experience with them right now has me infuriated. My boyfriend was taken to sherman for mental health issues and they have him in a psychiatric hold. He was moved from the ER while i was with him and i asked FIVE employees what his visitation was and they all told me 24 hour visitation. I say okay and i run home to pack a couple things to spend the night after ALSO asking them if that was okay to which they said YES. I come back i am there for an hour half asleep and the same nurse that said YES to both of my questions says i need to leave and he doesn't have visitation. This hospital has such poor communication. The reason he agreed to this hospitalization was under the terms that he would be able to have visitors. I now can no longer see him, when he tries to call me the sitter in his room grabbed the phone out of his hand and hang up, and they will not even give him letters i have written. ACTUAL MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES DO NOT EVEN TREAT THERE PATIENCE LIKE THIS. THEY ARE MAKING HIS SITUATION WORSE WITHOUT REALIZING. I tried to reach a supervisor because of this situation and have yet to have a call back. Today he called me, they hung up, i called back to ask what the reason was, to which the charge nurse on the other side of the floor said "i can't forward your call to his room so i don't know what to tell you" AND HUNG UP. I called a supervisor again, no response. This hospital has such under trained staff, poor communication with families and patients, and treats there patients and patient families with no respect what so ever. If you care about your well being or a loved ones well being. Don't fucking take them there. Not to mention we didn't even have a room in the ER there that far backed up. The same as the last time we came. If you can drive the extra couple miles to Huntley Hospital they're amazing.

I am not impressed. I had a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound scheduled for the third week in October of 2022. I had to go out of town on extended family business and told them I would call back to reschedule when I returned. I called a week ago, the second week in January of 2023. The first representative cut me off, the call disconnected. I called back and got another representative who told me that the order from the surgeon who did my lumpectomy 3 years ago had expired even though it had been put through at the end of September of 2022. She told me she would message the nurse navigator for the surgeon and have her send another order through. She asked me for my current phone number promising she would call me back. She said it might take a couple of days. I didn't care for the nurse navigator's attitude when I talked to her back in September - she acted put-out, with a lot of sighing and grumbling. I never heard back from the woman in the mammogram scheduling department. It's been a week. I received an email from Advocate Aurora Health this morning telling me that now that I had my appointment, I could sign up for Live Well, the website that would allow me to get my test results as well as other important information. I never had an appointment. They are clearly disorganized. After reading the other one and two-star reviews on Advocate Aurora Health on Yelp, I will find another hospital to get my mammogram.

I spent 4 hours in the hallway of the ER because there was no rooms being ignored. They wouldn't listen to me and just checked for a heart attack even though I knew that wasn't the issue. Kept me overnight. They never even gave me a gown to change into or toiletries. I had to sleep in the clothes I wore to work that day. Then they just sent me home without addressing the issues that brought me there in the first place. They told me to follow up with my doctor. REALLY! I gave them my insurance information when admitted. Now 8 months later they have me in collections. I called with my insurance rep on the line and talked to a manager at Sherman and he stated that my insurance is not contracted so they will not submit claims to them. Instead they have to submit them to me and then I have to submit to my insurance. They asked if I wanted to do a payment plan. I told them NO, I HAVE INSURANCE! My rep asked if they could do a courtesy hold since it would take time for me to get the claims in the mail, send to my insurance and have processed. They told me NO, it isn't Advocate's policy! What a joke! Stay far away from this hospital!

If you are looking for a doctor that will listen and take notes on your condition and make recommendations for your health care, do NOT use this facility. If you are looking for a doctor to insult you to your face and talk to you like you are a child, you are in the right spot because thats what you will get.

Be very scared. My Dad was brought into ER with broken hip. In the name of COVID...I could not talk to a doctor about my Dad health conditions. I could not get info...I could not see him. He is calling me confused and begging for me. This hospital staff is rude..unconcerned and will call police if you demand help. Stay clear...

Took husband who is immune-compromised to your ER. This facility was extremely professional from entrance through release. Immediately registered him and had vitals within a few minutes. ER was clean and calm. Visitors were limited to registration and wait outside as clearly their focus is on patient care. Husband was thoroughly supported and diagnosed in under 2 hours. Outstanding after recently seeing another ER facility in deplorable conditions that did allow visitors. We've now witnessed both sides of the spectrum of our healthcare system. Thank you for running a competent and compassionate facility for those in need of all you have to give.

I have been affiliated with this Sherman/Advocate for over 35 years, so yes they don't know anything about the patient care. This place has gone downhill, When I worked there Sherman Hospital treated everyone with respect. Now it's a joke to work there. I have relatives that work there. No one cares about the employees, all they care about is advocate. It sucks that they ruined a great Hospital.

This hospital is the epitome of idiocy with no real desire for healing the sick. They would rather keep their patients in the 'Advocate Petri Dish' and literally practice on them with unbridled ignorance and negligence. Their so called Covid protocol is about destroying the body vs helping it heal. Stay away from this med establishment!! Warning to all!
