2 techs came to restore the service in 2 different days this week and they said all looks good. Because of that I couldn't to work. The Internet keeps dropping twice a day , The T.V. says Off Line, the connection is weak on and off. We made another service appointment for today in the morning and they didn't show up. No phone call , no up date, no respect to customer. I called and they said that a tech will come between 1 to 5 pm . IS IT FAIR TO BE WAITING FROM 1 TO 5 PM ??? WILL THEY SHOW UP OR NOT? HOW ABOUT IF CUSTOMERS SAY TO THE TECHS TGE SAME ....WAIT OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE I WILL BE HOME ANYTIME FROM 1 TO 5 PM???

They dont do maintenance or they heavily throttle the bandwidth cause this is the hop or location where all the problems mediacom are occurring. Mediacom themselves won't even commit to fixing it despite their advertising so.... Fraud advertising and service

do not use this service!!!would give zero stars!!!we moved out and the exit process was the opposite of seamless. elburn location is never open. save receipts and always ask to be reimbursed. equipment and customer service is absolutely so terrible that even though i bought the best modem, i had to buy a separate wifi device to broaden the bandwidth to reach two rooms over. do not use this service!!!would give zero stars!!!

My client is disabled and has no way to call for help or watch TV. We have been in his new house since Feb 28th and still waiting for them to finish job. I have called everyday with no help at all. They have the monopoly but screw everyone over and don't care about. Customers

How does a landline internet services provider have such terrible latency and packet loss as compared to cellular and dish network providers? I'd rather have the 5MB/s DSL connection with stable 100ms latency rather than your trash 1GB/s with 50-500ms latency. What an absolute joke. How is that even possible.We know it's not on our end as we've been through the ring of a new modem, new street line connection, troubleshooting every single point of access within our home network. How are you guys beat out by a local ISP who services the surrounding rural farm community as opposed to your national chain? How?

DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE. IT GOES OUT EVERY OTHER DAY AND CANT EVEN STAY STEADY FOR A MONTH. IT IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. ITS ALWAYS DOWN FOR HOURS AND HOURS.Edit: 4 days later our internet was out AGAIN LAST NIGHT. WHAT A SURPRISE.FOR OVER 4 HOURS. WANTED TO WATCH THE MNF GAME BUT DIDNT GET TO DO THAT.I expect my bill to be cut in half. Didn't even get an update as to what the issue was!!! Can't even go FULL WEEK without it not working!!!!10/25 1:30pm EDIT: once again, my internet is slow and sluggish. And won't connect to anything even though it says I have internet. I suspect that once again, something else is wrong! TRYING TO WORK FROM HOME AND CANT EVEN DO THAT.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!Edit: my internet went out at 9 am and it is currently 4:30 pm with no internet and constantly pushed back expected fix time. A fiber line was cut is the answer from a single representative of mediacom.My internet service has been going out every other day for weeks. When it goes down it is unusable for 4 or more hours. My wife works form home but is unable to work regularly because of your service cutting. This has been constant since we started the service. On your best day the service is spotty and regularly not even half the bandwidth we pay for. This is unacceptable and I will be speaking with a lawyer and the BBB to ensure you either prorate your service to account for outages or to have you actually provide the service you advertise, which in my households experience, and the experience of the other 200+ people in the area that routinely report your outages, says you have not even one day provided what you claim. You are a terrible scam of a business.

Some of the worst internet I’ve ever been forced to use. We live in a small town and the options for high download speeds is small. Given the consistency of this internet though, I’m not sure it’s even worth the money we pay to get the speeds we want. On any given day our speeds can range from 400+ (which we don’t pay for) all the way down to 4 mbps making the internet almost useless on weekends. The equipment they give you is poor at best but even with top of the line routers and modems, the internet is still very shoddy. If you can stray away from Mediacom I absolutely would. Not worth the hassle, money and stress it brings

Outages, over billing, and bandwidth far below what I pay for. But they were the only provider in this area 7 years ago. Every year I hope it gets better, nope it gets worse, even with new isp starting service in the area Don't make a huge mistake with this provider if you work from home, have students doing classwork online, or even use the Internet for entertainment you will be frustrated and disappointed.

Impossible to get a direct phone to the local office.Going there means you're going to be yelled at and accused of things by the awful woman who works there.
