Had an appointment to have transmission fixed. I am from mattoon -.30 miles from home. So i needed a loaner to get home the service dept was out of loaner cars, so the best i got was sorry. They didn't help in any way. So i went to see roy schmidt himself. He was out of the office. So i walked around the show room trying to figure out what to do.
A salesman asked if i needed help. Told him my story and he got me a loaner.
The service dept really dropped the ball on this. All it would have taken is a quick phone call to a salesman to help a customer out. This transmission was about a $2500.00 fix if i hadn't had extended warranty.
By the way if you buy a used honda you should buy an extended warranty

After doing research and some comparison shopping for prices, my wife and I decided to buy from Roy Schmidt Honda. The price of the vehicle was negotiated over the phone, mostly through texting with salesman Jason Payne. We needed to pick up the truck on a Saturday and it was ready to go when we got there. We hadn’t bought a new vehicle in over 11 years, and were prepared for a high pressure, time consuming process to get the paper work completed. But, we were very pleasantly surprised. Jason had the day off, so Mark Schmidt met us and showed us the truck and got the paperwork going. Mark was very nice and personable. Derek Poitevint in Finance was very friendly and not at all pushy in offering the available warranty options. Doug Mette then went over practically every feature on the truck with us. He was very friendly and explained everything in an easy to understand manner. He wasn’t pushed for time and wanted to make sure that the technology was set up how we wanted it. This was by far the best new vehicle buying experience that we have ever had and we will be shopping with this dealership again. Great job!

The staff make it such a pleasant experience to get my vehicle serviced at Roy Schmidt Honda. I purchased 4 tires. When I made the appointment they told me how long it would take and they were true to their word. Had me out of there and on my way just as planned! While driving away I realized I needed an oil change, so I called and they were able to accommodate my request. Such a pleasure to work with their service department. They have won my business from the moment I purchased my Honda Passport from them, love the vehicle and them!

We had the best experience at Roy-Schmidt Honda! We worked with Mike Wilson and I cannot recommend him enough. He found us exactly what we were looking for and made the buying process quick and simple for us!
