This is our goto location when we come thru Effingham, multiple stays, and it always gets a 5 star review from me. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Great location. Food is always good as well.

I liked this place because it was right off the Highway, easy parking for campers and truckers like myself. Very clean establishment. Seems to be very well managed. They have a (full Bar)and (full Restaurant) with reasonable pricing, The Wings here are award winning. The staff could not have been any more Professional and friendly, I did not wanna leave. You all know I only post places that stand out. This is for sure one of those places. No pics because i like to respect hotel privacy but I stop here for the food and drinks....Great Job!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ + ⭐ for Curtious Attitudes from employees...{Congratulations!!!}Rooms: Absolutely fabulous.Walkability: TRUCK PARKING!!!!! NUFF SAID!Food & drinks: They have a Meatball Soup that is award winning.

Wonderful place to stay. From Kenny to every staff we came in contact with was great. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Chef loves his job and you can tell. He made the best gravy we ever tasted. We will be staying here every time I can.Rooms: Rooms clean and comfortableFood & drinks: Restaurant had great food

I loved that Chris Keller and his team, Kenny & Trevor, made my family and me feel welcome. They did everything possible to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. In fact, they went above and beyond to accommodate every request we made. It was a very nice touch that the chef hand delivered my toast to my table and engaged in a small conversation. The housekeeping staff was respectful of privacy and always made sure our room was cleaned and restocked. All of the employees really made us feel at home. There is no other hotel in Effingham, Illinois that we would rather stay than in the Holiday Inn on Avenue of Mid-America.

The hotel was nice and the room was clean. Lots of restaurants nearby. My only complaint was that it was very noisy. I haven't stayed in a hotel with adjoining rooms In a very long time and we could literally hear everything from our neighbors whom we did know or travel with.Rooms: Very clean. Beds were very soft and a variety of different pillows were on the beds some softer some firm.Nearby activities: We were in town for a wedding so we didn't explore too much. There's a Walmart and a pot dispensary nearbySafety: Hotel felt very safe and is in what seems to be in a good areaFood & drinks: The hotel has a restaurant in it as well as plenty of fast food and sit down restaurants nearby

Not to fond of this location, stayed on the 3rd floor in there was ceiling damage in the room. I didn’t complain about this because I thought nothing of it but the following morning I noticed there was a spider ?️ crawling on the ceiling in the room. The food wasn’t that great in the restaurant either. Overall I’d say 2-3 stars is fare for the overall experience.

Room was burning up and hot when I walked in. Tried turning the thermostat to a/c and it wouldn't switch over. But when it finally did, it took 6 hrs to cool off from 80 to 68. No complementary breakfast. Ridiculous prices on food and alcohol in the restaurant. Drain was broken and disgusting in the tub. Very outdated for being an IHG.Rooms: Outdated. Need a remodel.Walkability: Walmart and chili's is very close.Food & drinks: Ridiculous priced food and drink.

We had a great time here. We stopped in last minute on our tense travels back home from a terrible Ohio trip. Kenny Flier took such great care of us. He was such a great help and so friendly compared to other places we have stayed recently. This hotel was able to provide us a wheelchair for my mom during our stay, along with helping us with our things in and out of the car. The place was very comfortable and affordable. They do provide room service (pickup or brought to your door which was great imo) with a variety of things to choose from. My only complaint was the doors slam on their own when shutting, and is very loud throughout the day or night. I would still recommend this place though ?

Only issue was hand soap and body wash. Used shampoo. I told them at checkout and they took note and apologized. Also compted my wife's drink and pain reliever she was going to purchase. Great and friendly service. Great breakfast.

Good location, close to Walmart and several restaurants. It's also close to several other hotels if you are traveling for work and are staying in different places. Really close to the interstate as well, so lots of bonus points for that. However, the rooms themselves are in need of some love. Highly recommend some upgrades and updates, especially the bathrooms! Overall a clean hotel, but some investment is needed to stay competitive.

The lobby smells like fried food from the restaurant. Room is dirty. The sheets appeared to have not been washed well? There was grit in the bed, a stain on comforter and just generally dirty in appearance.

I stayed here one night in town for training and had a fantastic experience. The hotel catered our dinner, which was so delicious!The staff was amicable and engaging. The maintenance team cleaned the lobby as I arrived, which was a great welcome, the clean smell!My room was clean, and I had no issues during my stay. The only thing is that I wish the restaurant offered more appetizers —finger foods, cheese sticks, fries quick items.I will stay here again if I'm ever back in town.
