“Couple of weeks before Christmas 2023 I stopped in Hudson's to have my rings looked at. While I am waiting, I spotted the prettiest Ruby ring and asked if I could look at it. I put it on and fell in love. The wonderful salesperson at Hudson's talked with me about the ring I thanked them and gave them their ring back. There was no high-pressure sales tactics, and the salesperson was so very nice. A couple weeks later I called to see if they still had the ring, and to my good fortune they did. I talked with the salesperson again and asked if I could put it on layaway, all the while chatting about life in general with all the salespeople and the owner. The owner informed me that a family member just had a kidney transplant that morning and I felt an overwhelming joy for the young man which brought me to tears. I explained to the Owner and sale staff (I was the only one in the store as they were getting ready to close) that I had lost my kidney and spleen in a horrible accident a few years back. As we all talked, I did not notice the owner, or my salesperson disappear to the back of the store. It was getting late, so I asked how much I needed to put down on the layaway, the salesperson started doing something on the register I gave him my card and he handed me the receipt. The total was 1 Cent! I was confused I started to ask questions when the owner came out from the back and handed me the Ruby ring. At first, I was confused until the owner told me that the ring was a gift from them!! I burst into tears and ugly cried for a while. The owner and I hugged, and I kept saying thank you thank you. After many happy tears were spilled and hugs were given and conversation, I headed to my car to head home. I was feeling very Blessed that evening and even today when I look down and see the ruby on my finger, I know that there are still good, people in the world.
