This is the worst real estate company I have ever dealt with. Josh Topper listed my house in Granite City and as soon as I signed the paperwork, he told me he will be busy the next 4-6 weekends so he wouldn't be able to show the home. He kept pushing me to sign a contract for deed and I kept telling him NO. Anytime I would have someone wanting to look at the house he said he was unavailable, and he had no one on his team available. Because of this I told him to remove the listing, and I didn't want him selling my home. He ignored my calls and emails, I finally called from a different number and by no surprise to me, he answered. On 9/18 he informed me he cannot remove my listing on Elizabeth Hellrung can. I called Elizabeth on 9/19, her last name fits her perfectly because it is literally like ringing the bell to hell whenever you call her because she is rude, uncivil, disrespectful and just plan ignorant. She berated me over the phone when I asked to cancel, even after I informed her of her team's incompetents. She stated " she didn't care, she won't do anything until our contract is up in November. DONT list your home with them, they're prejudice, racist and disrespectful. Immediately after this I am calling the Ethics & Citation Hotline.

This is a fumble that turned into a touchdown for us! We had an incident with the agent we were working with (who is no longer in real estate,) and Paula Rickey, the manager in Edwardsville, stepped in and took over our transaction personally. We were unbelievably fortunate to have worked with her - Paula and Coldwell Banker Brown SAVED THE DAY!! She was always accessible to answer questions, offer advice, and honestly is just a kind, warm human being. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Paula - as well as the rest of Coldwell Banker Brown's management team. If every company took responsibility for a service failure like this company did, our world would be a much better place. These folks are the absolute BEST!!

We just used Angie Daniels with Coldwell Banker Brown to sell our home in Troy and buy our new home in Highland, IL. She is AMAZING! I can't say enough good thing about her. Not only is her knowledge of the industry and market invaluable, she is super fun to be around. We truly valued her opinion and constantly leaned on her to guide us in the right direction. Angie was always available by phone or in person when we needed her. She made buying and selling our home as easy as she possibly could. We will definitely be recommending her to our family and friends and will use her again in the future.

I recommend highly against working with them if you're on the low end of the market in pricing. My family was placed in a dangerous situation by their incompetence. I went for a place where an agent served as buyer and seller agent. My advice is to . never do that.
I shortened my review but the content is don't trust your realtor or the seller, get inspections by plumbers and roofers (often free or cheap), get everything including photos of questionable items in legally enforceable writing.
Doing my millennial and xillenial peers a PSA especially those getting out of the rent trap, you know these boomers won't just look at what they did to main Street out here in the belt.

We recently worked with Kara Fitterer from Coldwell. She assisted us in buying our first home and we could not be more happy. Kara is kind and thorough and goes above and beyond for her clients. She was able to put together an afternoon of viewing homes in which we were able to find the house we fell in love with a subsequently purchased. We knew nothing about the home buying process. However, Kara's experience and knowledge shows through and she was able to guide us through the entire process from start to finish. She answered any questions we had (there were a lot) and kept us constantly updated. She makes herself available and does so in a kind and professional manner. We look forward to working with her again when we go to sell our previous home. I would highly recommend Kara to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the IL metro east area. I cannot say enough positive things.
