Our move was not even handled from East Peoria. It was done out of St. Louis, three hours away, making it difficult for our driver and off schedule for us. The move was scheduled to be delivered the next day, which would have been impossible because the movers left our home at nearly 8 pm that night. The destination was seven hours away, so we would never have made it there in time unless we didn't sleep that night and drove through the night. We were told a 2-4 day window for delivery, not the next day! But we had the date successfully changed to the following day. The truck was not big enough to hold our move so several items were not packed carefully and were damaged. Boxes labeled fragile, do not crush or this side up were not packed accordingly as seen by the loading and unloading of the truck. However in our movers' defense, they were very polite and helpful. Our driver was very professional and knew his job well. Several items did not fit in the truck so we had to move those ourselves in our pick up. Even so, we could not fit everything in so we had to leave a closet full of items behind to be picked up at a later date.

Rick was wonderful to work with and was great at troubleshooting. Bubba the truck driver was very knowledgeable and helpful with the loading and unloading process. All movers in Peoria and Louisville were very hard workers and very respectful!!!

We recently completed a move from Peoria, Illinois to Minnesota, and from the initial assessment to the packing, loading and unloading everything was handled with care and professionalism. We actually were able to receive our load a couple days ahead of schedule which was ideal for us. I have used Allied in the past as well as others, and Allied stands above the rest.

Federal Warehouse Company agreed to move my in-laws home from ******** to ** and the experience has been awful. To date they still have not received their household goods and the operations manager in ****** has been nothing but disrespectful and rude. He actually told us he was "getting pissed" because we demanded to know what the next steps were for the arrival of their home goods. At the end of the conversation, Greg, Operations Manager in ****** **, hung up on us and told us to call him tomorrow or call ****** Corporate. Awful experience.

I didn't use Allied because the day that I was told they were coming July 1, 2020 they didn't show up. I never got a confirmed call from the driver until July 7, 2020, as if my move date was on the 8th. I was on a deadline to be relocated and had to get a different moving company to move me at the last minute and pay above what the move cost. I have to give it to Robert the person that helped me because he was very helpful even though things didn't work out. So I give him 2 thumbs up but as for the company itself I would have to give 0 stars

Our experience with Federal was like day and night. The crew that came to us in Illinois did a terrific job, packed efficiently and well, despite wet conditions. However when our truck reached us in North Carolina the next week, there was no crew. The driver, my husband, our new neighbor, and some folks from our neighborhood hired by the driver did the unload. Already this seems extremely unprofessional and added a lot of unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. The driver re-assembled all the things that had been disassembled by the Illinois crew, and reassembled our Ikea bed incorrectly - we had to take it apart and reassemble it. When I attempted to register my concern with the company, the individual who spoke with me did not believe that my husband had assisted in the unload, did not offer a sincere apology, and even suggested to me in a phone message that moving is like airline turbulence - ie, some bumps. I was told I should not expect any recompense, because airlines do not reimburse for turbluence. The problem is, of course, that turbulence is a naturally occuring phenomenon, whereas what happened to us is Federal/Allied incompetence. In the confusion of the arrival, Federal/Allied failed to unload one of our boxes, which went on to the next destination. It took 5 weeks for us to receive this box in the mail. It was partially crushed, and the contents, dishes and china, had not been properly wrapped and were mostly shattered. I wrote to the company, and now post this review not because I expect or even hope for some financial recovery. I want to point out the lax, slow, and disrespectful customer service in the hopes that what happened to us, our stress and loss of belongings, does not happen to other customers.
