A good grocery store with good selection.

This location continually runs out of products in all departments & are slow to restock. When you talk to them about it, they blame the warehouse instead of taking ownership of it. We now just use the Osco side since they seem to be better organized. The meat quality & variety is poor as well. Rarely have these issues with their competitors.

Very rude staff. And not very knowledgeable. Especially a cashier named Keegan. He was probably the rudest cashier I've ever encountered.

It's a nice store, good sales. Better than Hyvee.

My husband and I visited for the first time today, and just wanted to give a shout-out to cashier, Brenda! She was so kind to both of us and made our day. We are very impressed with the organization and cleanliness of this store. We can’t wait to come back!

GREAT MANAGEMENTOn Saturday, I had an issue with one employee by the name of Lee in Jewel-Osco's deli department. I was informed by management that they were short-staffed and food was loss due to a power issue the night before and they were swamped. I am a logical and rational customer, I get it and respect it. Management heard my concerns with their worker's demeanor with me while still being respectful and understanding of their worker and me as a customer. The store manager even met with me after coming to Jewel for three times within a 1 hour time period because my order was not ready but the worker Lee called me and condescendingly told me it would be ready (and it was not). And upon my arrival another worker stated, "I don't know why he told you that, because we were just putting your large order in the oven." I showed management where this deli worker called me and stated that my order would be ready when it clearly would not and Lee knew that. Management was very apologetic and talked about further training their workers. They even gave me a courtesy gift card, in which I was appreciative.NOT SO GOOD WORKER In the deli department, there is a worker by the name of Lee. He appears to be a hard worker, but easily frustrated and not very customer friendly. I arrived to pick up my large order of 106 pieces of chicken for a birthday party. My pick up time was scheduled for 4 but I arrived at the deli counter at 3:40. I said, "HI, I am here to pick up my order." And Lee said that it was not ready and your pick up time is for 4 right, in a sassy tone. I was taken back, I don't know him like that and that was very informal for him to talk to anyone that he does not know on a personal level especially a customer. I said O K, no problem I'll be back at 4 and then he says NO it won't be ready until 4:15 then I say, OH, I thought you just asked/told me my pick up time is at 4:00, right? He then says, WELL are you going to pay for it and take care of this bill? I said, excuse me sir, I don't appreciate your tone with me, I felt you got sassy and he says well let's step over here to the side and get sassy together and I said YUP, game on! I told him of course I am going to pay for my order, what do you think? And then he proceeds to walk me to the front desk, he spoke with management about the bill and I told them about my brief experience with him. Management explained to me some problems that they had in the deli department and I was very understanding of the situation. I paid for my items plus the chicken and I left and Lee calls me at 4:03 to tell me that my chicken will now be ready at 4:20-4:25 instead of 4:15. I come back to the store at 4:22 and another worker says, I don't know why Lee told you that, because when he called we were just putting your chicken in the oven, it will be ready at 5:00 now. I go back to management and they seemed displeased and I showed them the phone call from their store worker. I then called my husband and just had him pick up the chicken. I had enough of Lee for one day or forever, please take care. The East Moline Jewel is beautiful, the food is good, and so is management and other workers. But I've observed this worker (Lee) before and he just lacks a little bit of customer service professionalism. No hard feelings, but his actions and my experience have to be documented.

It is a good idea to unlock the entrance door when the store is open. I arrived shortly before 6:30am and couldn't get in because the door was still locked . The store opened at 6 am. I called to see if someone forgot to do their job of unlocking the door and was told that entrance doesn't open until 7 am. There is no signage posted of this and that is ridiculous I stood out there for almost 10 minutes before an employee approached me at the entrance I was at. Just unlock the door if the store is open!

I had to repeat my phone number three times as it wasn't in the computer. Then the clerk was happy I remembered an old number from 8 years ago. Why did I need to give a phone number to get my receipt ? I don't care to give any number, actually, as others can overhear me.
