We have a self-managed Charles Schwab account because it's something I enjoy doing and I'm fairly experienced at it but was running into a problem with getting an early pension benefit transferred into an IRA on my own. Without a moment's hesitation, when I called to see if there was any way they could help, they jumped right in and made it happen. I thought for sure I would be met with resistance since I don't technically work with the people in that office. They even went out of their way to send an email with more explanation on how my husband and I could have our online accounts set up better so we each could see all of the accounts. They are definitely living and working the motto "service above self"!”
