I use to be a frequent and loyal shopper at this local Jewel...not anymore. Several times I have ordered chicken and always they have gotten it wrong. Today again my order was wrong ordered fried chicken got home and it was grilled. And to make matters worse the older women who waited on me was rude ( rudely she kept telling me to hurry it up ) My thought was maybe if she didn't rush she might get the order filled correctly. Sorry but wasn't going to drive all the way back to the store so my family tried to eat the grilled chicken got say it was so dry and no seasoning ..we gave it to our dogs/fried chicken is 100% better. Management needs to give some customer service training to the employees behind the chicken counter.

For some reason, this location doesn't carry some of the same Asian mushrooms that you find at the Naper blvd location. They're usually 99 cents. A star was taken off. Everything was well stocked. If you have the app and an account, you can save even more. This location isn't as busy as some of the others.

Albertsons: My family has shopped Jewel for almost 70 years at various stores and neighborhoods and felt it was part of our community but there has been a drastic drop in overall quality of experience stemming from poor cleanliness (e.g., Odors, leakage, plain dirty inside and out, etc.) Two stars overall only because of most of the staff is in earnest and once an issue is brought they work to make it right-BUT-managers have to actually manage--in particular regarding quality assurance and quality control related to store cleanliness and food hygiene. The other day I 'peeled up' an egg-roll flat from some kind of sticky goo that I needed to ask the butcher for a paper towel to wipe my hand. I quietly pointed it out to a manager and they took care of it right away but c'mon...What is the culture at the store(s)? Understood it may be tough these days with employees hard to find but someone has got to be the heavy making sure the store is clean and food is stored/displayed in a hygienic manner. In conjunction with the drastically higher prices, this is a one-two killer punch. You guys offer good benefits and pay. Insist on quality in return from both managers and staff to give customers at least the expectation and manifestation of higher quality to at least partially justify the prices you now charge. As a contrast, visit the Grayslake store to see how basic cleanliness is an obvious priority. Kroger: Now that you have the go-ahead with your deal, you've got to turn the corner on this otherwise the Albertsons acquisition will just be an anvil dragging you down. I will go somewhere else.

Excellent customer service. I just want to say that Jeremy, the young black employee just in case there are other employees with the same name is an amazing employee that likes to help customers and goes above and beyond. He seriously needs a raise! I was filling my gallons and he offered helping me and even taking them to my car. Truly appreciate him!

The pharmacy here is horrible!! This has happened multiple times. They contacted me saying my prescriptions are ready and I get there to find out they aren't ready. Some of the staff is also rude. I'm done with this pharmacy. I was there today because my husband just got his wisdom teeth out and I was told it would take 30 mins to fill. 30 mins later I was told they didn't even get to it yet...if someone comes in with pain medicine they should be honest with how long it may take.

I was a regular customer for awhile until I was rudely discriminated against by Gail who works in the Deli Department. I walked and waited patiently to be serviced with one other customer being waited on by another employee. She saw me and lied and said she was busy. I waited again and another person walked up and she asked if she could help. I would never shop there for as long as I live. If you are of color do not shop there if you want to be racially profiled and discriminated against.

Please make shoppers wear masks in your store. There are so many elderly shopping in this store and twice now in the early morning I saw people without masks shopping. Also if you are going to try and control the flow of traffic in the aisles to one way, then you should teach your employees how to use the aisles too. One last comment, Please make sure that your baggers wear a mask covering their nose not their chin.We are all just trying to survive these days.

Conglomerates like Jewel-Osco never cease to amaze me. They just don't care! I recently 'tried' to return some Rotten produce that went bad after a few days, and guess what? Jewel has conveniently decided to use 'Covid' as an excuse for no longer accepting returns! Can you believe this? So... hopefully I have other peoples attention to let them know NOT to shop at Jewel anymore because they DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!!!! Best places to shop are definitely those who accept returns. NOT CROOKS LIKE JEWEL WHO USE COVID AS AN EXCUSE NOT TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every time I go here I'm bound to have a negative experience. I avoid it at all costs because every time I'm here I get ignored, the check out lines take forever, and it's completely disorganized. Today I went in and two cashiers were talking while I waited there, being completely ignored. I walked out after a few minutes of staring at them, wanting to get out of there because who wants to spend time in a public place during a pandemic. Nothing new for Jewel! Same thing happens whenever I go there, every time I am reminded why I dont shop there. Marianos and Trader Joes are much better alternatives with higher values and better staff training. Not to mention organization and better prices!

I come here for the exceptional guest service! Erica the cashier is always very nice and helpful. The store is small and everything is easy to locate. I have many choices in Downers grove however this is my favorite store!

This bakery has no clue what a true, traditional bagel is. It's a very dense dough on the inside, not full of air pocket holes like bread. The outside is rather tough & "leathery" that tears when ripped. Finally, they are not 5" across! My gosh, size isn't everything. Hopefully this will be corrected or just get out of the business of fresh bagels as the frozen ones you offer are better which is very difficult to do.

This Jewel has been going downhill for years. Produce is sketchy. On a Saturday afternoon when they are busy with customers they are stocking their shelves. And the stockers have all the aisles blocked with pallets so you can't get to anything. Their deli is the worst. Hardly any selection. Today I waited 10 minutes and was passed over for service so I left and went to Brookhaven instead. Your loss Jewel. I do not plan to be back to this location - ever...

I think this is a great Jewel they are helpful and you don't have to wait in line long at all. I only wish one thing that would carry as promised their Haagen Dazs Vanilla BEAN! I love the vanilla bean as opposed to the plain vanilla. Anyway keep up the good work. If you want a Jewel that there is always a line out the door and cant get help go to Woodridge on 75th st. I will take the Downers Grove jewel on Main st., anyday! The only thing any Jewel could be bettr at is PRICES!

The vegan section here has exploded, seemingly overnight! SO cool to see vegan cheeses, deli meats, chicken, beef, yogurt, sour cream, salad dressings, etc. THANK YOU
